If you had asked me a day ago, I would have told you that the world absolutely does not need another Jurassic Park/World Pin. We’ve got flat-screen-printed logos, basic enamel fills, and enough generic dinosaur silhouettes to stock a Natural History Museum gift shop.
But every once in a while, someone comes along and actually puts some thought into what makes a pin worth wearing, and Fanattik’s latest JP gate replica might just be that rare breed. Could this end up being your next Jurassic Park Collectible? We are about to find out.

What You Get With This Collectible
The pin itself is about the size of a large coin, maybe 1.7 inches across. Not massive, but chunky enough that people will definitely notice it on your jacket. The whole thing’s made from metal and a enamel filling. But the real magic happens when you touch those gate doors. They swing open to reveal a T. rex illustration tucked inside, taking what could’ve been another boring logo pin and turning it into something that actually engages with you.
The hinges deserve specific mention because they’re the make-or-break element here. They give you a nice, clean 90-degree rotation before the doors contact the pillar stops. The hidden T. rex reveal works smoothly enough that you’ll probably find yourself fidgeting with it more than necessary.
Each unit gets laser-etched numbering on the reverse side, apart from whatever’s printed on the backing card. That way, your authenticity survives even if you ditch the packaging. On a side note, I love how closely the details align with the films.
The numbering situation is interesting too. Only 5,000 of these exist worldwide, which is way smaller than Fanattik usually does. Most of their pins hit nearly 10,000 pieces, and other companies doing JP stuff typically go even higher. Either they’re testing the waters with this design or they genuinely think 5,000 is all the market wants. Either way, it’s scarce enough to matter.
Anyway, preorders for the pin are now live on Big Bad Toy Store, with shipping expected to roll out in September. In case you’re interested, head on over to the website and get your order in before the close the queue!
