Dying Light: The Beast has a huge arsenal of weapons that players can use to destroy the infected and save the inhabitants of Castor Woods from the evil rule of the vicious Baron. But among them, Legendary Grade weapons are the most efficient at killing zombies and human enemies alike.
For those wondering where to find Every Legendary Weapon in Dying Light: The Beast, here’s a detailed guide on each and every category of Legendary Weapon, and the exact place where players can pick them up.
All Special Legendary Weapons & Where To Find Them
Special Legendary Weapons are a category that belongs to certain unique melee weapons and guns that can only be found by completing certain prerequisites, or by finding them in special locations. Next, players will find information on every Special Legendary Weapon and where to find them.
The Needle (SMG)
Found at the Mountain Reserve Ranger Station, which is not marked on the map, but it’s in the northeast direction from the Mountain Shelter Tower Safe Zone (Northeast D5). Check the cabin outside the closed building, on the right side, then turn on the generator, and pick up the cable to connect it outside the building, on the left side of the garage. Once this is done, the garage door will begin to open. Players need to fend off a group of Virals attracted by the sound and infested that come out of the Ranger Station. Do not attempt this at night. Once inside, pick the lock of the door in the far left corner and grab the Legendary SMG The Needle from one of the shelves, as well as some SMHAmmo.
Sunray (Revolver)
Travel to the Villa Area (North East of the Map) and to the region named Golden Pine. Once there, spot a roundabout (the one in the upper side) and keep going northwest until spotting two isolated houses. One holds a Dark Zone (Vanity Store), and the other one, is the one players should look for. Go to the backyard, and spot a broken window and a cellar door. First, go inside and look for the bathroom. Inside, there’s a zombie sleeper and a body with a Fuse. Kill the zombie, and pick the Fuse.
Go back to the outside, and open the hatch to the Cellar. Replace the Fuse in the panel, and open the door that just unlocked. Inside, there’s a poster of the Bloody Bunnies, and in front of the table, there’s a breach in the wall with a safe inside. Input the following code: 2 – 2 – 19, to open the safe and claim the Sunray Revolver.
The Eraser (Auto Rifle)
Travel to the Farmlands Area, and look for the Farms Tower Safe Spot. From that position, travel diagonally in the southeast direction until spotting a ruined building with lots of zombies around. There’s a Toad spitting from a small balcony in the ruins, take note of this spot. Kill the enemies in the area, then examine the place where the spitting zombie was. There’s a Power Panel that needs a Power Cable there, and a Hatch below. Now turn around and walk a few meters until players spot a small shed. Enter the shed through the vent on the backside (players might need to break some crates to open the path). After that, open the gate and turn on the Diesel Generator. Pick up the Power Cable and walk back to the Power Panel in the ruins.
Connect the Cable, then drop and open the Hatch and descend into the basement. There’s a huge shelf that players need to push to liberate an air duct, then crawl inside another small room to reveal another Power Panel. Now go back outside, pick the Power Cable from the Panel in the ruin, and drag the cable below, pass through the vent once more, and connect the Cable to the second Panel in the basement. This will unlock all the doors, including the one that has The Eraser Legendary Auto Rifle inside.
The Statement (Shotgun)
The Statement Shotgun can be found by traveling to the Pembroke Area (B7 – B8). Look at the map, and follow the ‘r’ on Pembroke from top to bottom (going south), and spot a few isolated buildings (these should be at the vertex between B7 and B8. Look for the small building with the Sunflowers planted against the wall, and look to the right bottom side to spot a vent. Remove the lid and crawl inside. Unlock the door of the tool shed, turn on the Diesel Generator, and pick up the Power Cable from the panel, then connect the cable in the Panel on the building just straight from the door. Open the garage door, defeat the zombie inside, and claim the Legendary Shotgun from the Workbench inside.
The Elite (Pistol)
Travel to the Red Bridge, crossing the river between the Monastery Area and the Mountain Shelter zone. Look for a series of abandoned cargo train containers, with two locked ones. Use the survival Instinct to spot the one with the Zombie inside, pick the lock, defeat the zombie and grab the Key Card it holds. Then look for the other locked container, pick the lock and go back to the west zone of the bridge. Look for the open container with a sleeper sitting there, and two fuel canisters on the side. Next to it, there’s a big generator and a Power Cable. Turn the generator on, defeat the Virals coming to kill Kyle, and then pick the Power Cable. Drag the Cable to the second unlocked container, and dodge the Zombie that comes out of the remaining closed container to the right. Connect the cable, insert the Key Card on the pannel, and claim the prize: The Elite Pistol.
Strauss&Broda Machete
To get the Strauss & Broda Legendary Machete, go to the Industrial Zone, and look for the Building labelled ‘Taxi’ on the map. Climb to the rooftop of the building using the stairs on the lateral side of the building. Once above, pick the Hard lock leading to a small terrace shed. Inside, there’s a wall-mounted locked box with the ‘Knock’ prompt on it. Knock repeatedly (it took at least 50 times) to open the box and claim this Legendary Machete from inside.
EXPCalibur II
Go to the southeastern side of the Monastery and cross the River into the Camping Zone. To the Right, there’s a Camping Tower Safe Spot, and further east, a huge rock formation. EXPCalibur II can be found above the rock formation that can be climbed. But to unlock it, players need to gather eight Sigil Stones scattered around Castor Woods: here’s every Sigil Stone Location. Once players have collected all these stones, they should go back to the sword and place them in the Pentagram surrounding the EXPCalibur II. Once they’re done with that, a Zombie Charger will appear. Defeat it, then turn around to face the sword. Players need to hold the action key for a few minutes until Kyle draws the Sword and the Blueprint from the stone.
Ciupaga
Players can pick up this Legendary Axe that can be thrown and returns like the legendary Mjolnir Hammer from the Mountain Resort located above the Mountain Shelter Tower Safe Zone (D5). Climb to the Balcony outside the third floor’s attic, and look above the blocked window to spot the Ciupaga Axe mounted on the wall. Grab it and enjoy throwing it around. Players will be automatically led to this area if they follow the Secondary Quest ‘Stay Human,’ so don’t forget to pick up this Legendary Weapon while completing the Quest.
Last Hand of Glova
Located on the same bridge where players find The Elite Pistol, look for the crumbling tunnel on the opposite side of the bridge, and look around for a wall with the 9 3/4 Symbol painted in green. Go through the wall, and continue going deeper, breaking the Minecraft blocks, until spotting a door with zombies inside. Dispose of them, and continue moving further into the tunnel to find a train with several ‘Golden Ticket’ opportunity weapons. The Blueprint for the Last Hand of Glova is above one of the crates with the Ingots.
Special DLC Weapons
For players who purchased the game before its release, there was a Pre-Order DLC called ‘Survivor of Harran‘ which automatically unlocks the following legendary weapons:
Jade’s Memory Handgun
The Follower Crossbow
Harran Combat Knife
All of these rewards will be automatically added to the players’ stash in the Reward Tab, and can be accessed from the moment players unlock the Monastery Safe Zone.
