Being Metamorpho’s son, Joseph Mason was born with powers that he’s completely unaware of. Joey is just a baby, so he wouldn’t know that he’s any different from regular humans, resulting in his metahuman DNA. While Baby Joey doesn’t display his powers in any capacity during the movie, it’s likely that Baby Joey’s condition isn’t just physical, and he should be able to use molecular reconstruction much like his father.

Mister Terrific

So Incredibly Smart, He’s Practically a Meta

• Notable Powers: Super Intelligence

Mr. Terrific personally believes that he’s a metahuman, and that’s due to how smart he is. Mr. Terrific views himself as one of the, if not the smartest man in the world – and as such, he isn’t shy about how he thinks he’s a metahuman too. While his powers do not give him flight or super strength, he does have a great intellect that allows him to create T-Spheres that are very creative in their uses. From combat tools to technological hacking devices, Mr. Terrific won’t let anyone with powers or a lesser mind stop him.

Hawkgirl

Organic Wings and a Convoluted Origin

This winged metahuman loves to screech her way through the battlefield with her terrifying war cry. Armed with her powerful Thanagarian mace, which is indestructible, she flies around with her organic wings to prove why she’s the most ruthless member of the Justice Gang. Hawkgirl has incredible speed, which she uses to reach foreign countries with ease to terrorize those who would do harm on the innocent. Aiding her flight is her mace and super strength, which allows her to practically brutalize anyone who dares worship evil’s might.

The Element Man Can Transform His Body Into Known Elements

• Portrayed by: Anthony Carrigan
• Notable Powers: Molecular Reconstruction

Rex Mason is Metamorpho, the Element Man. Metamorpho was a regular human, until an experiment from Stagg Industries resulted in a metahuman transformation. Metamorpho is now Lex Luthor’s prisoner in his secret pocket dimension, where he is forced to create heaps of kryptonite with his body. Metamorpho is built for a better life – a heroic one, which is why, in the infinite creativity of his powers, he can create anything from his body and wants to use it to help heal the world. Metramorpho is practically indestructible, as he can turn his body into any element and regrow himself.

The Engineer

A Woman Who Sacrificed Her Humanity for Nanotech in Her Blood

• Portrayed by: Maria Gabriela de Faria
• Notable Powers: Mechanokinesis

The Engineer received her nanotechnology that turned her into a metahuman from Lex Luthor. The two worked closely together to ensure their mutual efforts to destroy Superman would work. The Engineer was once a normal person, until Luthor’s experiments saw nanites enter her bloodstream. Now, the Engineer can create anything with the nanites in her body. Her nanite control allows her to be super durable, fly, and hit extremely hard with anything she can put her mind to.

Green Lantern

A Regular Human Jerk, Armed with a Powerful Ring

• Portrayed by: Nathan Fillion
• Notable Powers: Green Lantern’s Power Ring

Guy Gardner isn’t exactly a metahuman, as without his Lantern Ring, he’s just a regular jerk without powers. However, it’s the Lantern Ring and Guy’s strong willpower that saw the Guardians of Oa bestow him with a Green Lantern ring. Now a Green Lantern himself, and a veteran one at that, based on his age and continued use of a bowl cut, Guy Gardner leads the Justice Gang on Earth while balancing his duties as a space cop. This Green Lantern can use his ring to create green constructs that are non-lethal, but are still ridiculous in design, since in his infinite imagination, Guy seems to only create hands with middle fingers and baseball bats.

Krypto the Superdog

An Unruly Dog with the Powers of Superman

• Notable Powers: Flight, Super Speed, Super Strength

Krypto is meta, but not exactly human. The powers of Krypto are identical to Superman’s and Supergirl’s due to his origin on Krypton, but he doesn’t exactly have the best control over these powers. Whether it’s using his super speed to chase Superman, or his super bite to cause Superman pain as he nips at his boots, Krypto is a nightmare dog that doesn’t mean to be a nuisance, as he’s just an untrained dog. Krypto’s powers greatly aid him in a fight when he decides to be a good boy, but aside from his loyalty and excitement upon seeing Superman or Supergirl, he’d much rather be terrorizing Superman Robots and squirrels.

Ultraman

A Creation With Superman’s Brawn, But Not His Brain

• Notable Powers: Super Strength, Super Speed, Flight, Invulnerability, Heat Vision

Superman lost his first-ever fight in 3 years to Ultraman, which just shows how strong this character is. Ultraman was created as a metahuman, as he’s actually an experiment crafted from Lex Luthor himself. Ultraman was created from a single hair of Superman, and while Luthor’s genius managed to create his own version of Superman in both physicality and powers, he was unable to recreate the brain, leaving Ultraman as a husk of a metahuman that is all powers and no smarts.

Supergirl

A Kryptonian Who Likes to Party on Planets With Red Suns

• Notable Powers: Super Strength, Super Speed, Flight, Invulnerability, Heat Vision, Cold Breath, X-Ray Vision

The most surprising metahuman to appear in Superman is the Man of Steel’s cousin, Kara Zor-El. Supergirl has the exact same powers as Superman, except she’s a bit of a mess. Kara grew up on Krypton, meaning she’s had to watch people she loved, and her own race, die horrible deaths. This trauma has left Kara pretty broken, and she visits solar systems with a red sun so that she can get drunk and party. Supergirl seeks out fun with her powers, flying through the galaxy and punching those who need punching to give her the thrill she needs.

Superman introduced himself to Earth 3 years ago, and before meeting the Hammer of Boravia, he had never lost a fight. This goes to show that Superman is amazing with his powers, and the yellow sun has empowered him for years, and continues to grow his strength with every bright moment. Superman’s biology from Krypton provides him with an undisputed strength and an arsenal of useful powers that he can use to save the people of Earth and do the right thing as the planet’s strongest and most signature hero. Whether it’s with super speed, intense reflexes, a breath that has a stronger push than a black hole’s pull, or hands that can stop entire buildings from toppling, this is Superman.
