The Secret Theater returns in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and you can unlock new cutscenes by holding up guards in specific areas of the game. The original Secret Theater scenes from the PS2 version of the game are included in Metal Gear Solid Delta, and there are a handful of new scenes created in the new engine on top of those.
The Secret Theater features humorous takes on existing Snake Eater scenes, and they’re well-worth the effort to find them. Standout scenes include Snake missing the ledge on his initial jump in the Virtuous Mission and Sokolov getting superpowers to wipe out the Cobra Unit, just to give you an idea of the kind of wackiness you should expect. Here’s where you can find every Secret Theater film reel in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Potential Spoilers: The guide below includes the names of several game areas, as well as some light details on two boss fights.
MGS Delta Secret Theater Film Reel Locations
There are 15 film reels to find in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. To unlock Secret Theater scenes, you must hold up the guard carrying the associated film reels in specific areas. Only one guard per area will have a film reel, and attacking them in any way will damage the film, causing it to become permanently lost unless you reload an earlier save.

If you’re having trouble determining which guard is carrying the film reel, just call Para-Medic to save your game and then run through the area killing everyone. When the right guard is taken down, the film reel will be destroyed with a loud noise. That’s your target. Reload your save and sneak up to him to claim it.
You only need to grab each film reel once, and collected scenes will carry over between playthroughs. Also, you can reload your save after getting a film reel, and it’ll still stay unlocked. That’s helpful if you want to shoot all the non-important guards to make it easier to hold up the one you need.
The Secret Theater tapes aren’t required to earn the Platinum Trophy in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but they’re still worth seeking out, especially if you’re an MGS fan. Plus, you can search for all the animals and food items while you work your way through each major area.
