Hana Kurusu

The Angel Destined To Smite Evil

• First Appearance: Chapter 143

Hana Kurusu has a powerful connection to the main plot in the Culling Game, with a secret history involving Magumi Fushiguro. In the Culling Game, Hana is one of the possessed individuals created by Kenjaku; however, unlike most others in this situation, she has a friendly, symbiotic relationship with the spirit inhabiting her body.

While Hana is not at all a combat-trained sorcerer and doesn’t share the negative personality traits among others in her situation, she had the luck of the draw with an incredibly powerful cursed technique from Angel called Jacob’s Ladder, making her pivotal to the fight against Sukuna.

Reggie Star

A Sinister Force Not To be Underestimated

• First Appearance: Chapter 162

Reggie Star is another sorcerer who was reincarnated into the present day by the rules of the Culling Game. He plays as a minor antagonist to the Jujutsu Sorcerers and is a master manipulator throughout the arc. Reggie assembles a makeshift crew and wreaks havoc on the e-games to increase his point value and eliminate the low-hanging fruit.

Reggie’s underhanded tactics are not to be underestimated, as he is also a very talented sorcerer with a unique cursed technique called Contract Re-Creation, which allows him to pull objects into thin air using a receipt.

Takako Uro

Wielder Of The Sky Itself

• First Appearance: Chapter 173

Takako Uro is another one of the many reincarnated sorcerers brought to life by Kenjaku, who is over one thousand years old. Her history is explored lightly as she is alleged to have a connection to the Fujiwara clan and was the leader of an elite organization of assassins. Takako participates in the Culling Game as an antagonist and partners with Hajime Kashimo in a temporary alliance.

As an incredibly skilled fighter, Takako is made even more of a threat with her potent curse technique, Sky Manipulation. Sky Manipulation is a reality-warping technique that enables her to manipulate the visual sky, much like a blanket or a cape. This technique grants her several offensive and defensive abilities, primarily to deflect enemy attacks by reshaping them in the sky and distorting them so she’s never hit.

Panda

The Cursed Corpse

• First Appearance: Episode 5

Panda is a participant in the Culling Game in an effort to stock the ranks against those who would do harm to average people caught in the crossfire of the battles between sorcerers. Panda, as a cursed corpse, can manipulate his own cursed energy and transform using his cores into one of three forms at a time.

Primarily, Panda gathers information about other fighters in his area, but has a near-fatal run-in with Hajime Kashimo. While Panda is nowhere near as formidable as his peers, he does his part to try to save as many lives as he can.

Hajime Kashimo

The Electrifying Challenger

• First Appearance: Chapter 158

Hajime Kahsimo is another reincarnated sorcerer from he past who was considered one of the most dangerous sorcerers while he was alive. Unlike most participants in the Culling Game, Hajime does display a desire to harm, but only needs to fight Sukuna and prove he’s the strongest. Hajime has an abrasive attitude and picks fights with anyone who sticks around too long, but only desires to fight strong opponents, not those he considers weak.

Hajime can utilize his cursed energy to create powerful discharges of electrical energy that he can fire off as projectiles or coat his body with as protection. His primary technique is called Mythical Beast Amber, which transforms him into a mesh of flesh and electrical energy, rendering him a force of pure destruction. However, this technique has a lengthy cost, so he’s saving it for Sukuna.

Ryu Ishigori

The Star-Studded Powerhouse

• First Appearance: Chapter 173

Ru Ishigori is a reincarnated sorcerer who appears alongside Takako Uro during the Culling Game and has also adapted to the circumstances of his revilva exceptionally well, having no problem with mowing down weak sorcerers.

Like most curse technique users, Ryu displays an aura of arrogance both vocally and visually. In the Culling Game, Ry is an antagonist who is searching for an opponent who can hold his attention. This desire for a strong opponent leads him to two of the strongest sorcerers in the series.

Yorozu

The Snake In The Grass

Yorozu is a special case when it comes to Jujutsu Kaisen, as she has a very unique story that ties to Megumi Fushiguro and Sukuna. Reincarnated by the rules of the Culling Game, Yorozu is a Heia era sorcerer who lived during the same time as Sukuna. Shockingly, she is brought into the emoder day inhabiting Megumi’s sister’s body. In her past life, she was emotionally obsessed with Sukuna, determined to make him acknowledge her and become his significant other.

She is just as ruthless and deranged as her obsession, but also has the skill level of sorcerers from that time period. Yorozu’s cursed technique allows her to create something from nothing as long as she’s familiar with the substance. She can be seen creating insect wings to grant her flight, and even organic matter like liquid metal.

Maki Zenin

The Second Coming Of Toji Zenin

• First Appearance: Episode 5

Maki Zenin has quite a few pivotal moments in the Culling Game as she undergoes a metamorphosis that turns her into a living weapon, similar to Toji Zenin. Aiding her comrades in preventing as much loss of life as possible, Maki participates in the Culling Game after dealing with the entire Zenin clan.

Being a completely different animal, Maki even throws her hat into the ring in a one-on-one with Sukuna in an effort to take out the king of curses. Maiu lacks all forms of cursed energy and instead has her physical attributes enhanced beyond all reasonable levels, making her a force of nature, even among Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Kinji Hikari

The Wild Child Of Jujutsu High

• First Appearance: Chapter 153

Hakie is one of the most anticipated characters to appear in the Culling Game arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. As a former dropout of Jujutsu High, Hikari was a strong candidate for second in line to Satoru Gojo before Yuta Okotsu awakened.

Hikari is an abrasive individual who has a borderline volatile addiction to gambling, which ties back to his thrill-seeking personality type. In terms of his cursed technique, Hikari has limitless potential thanks to his domain expansion, which has the chance to grant him endless cursed energy and regeneration.

Yuta Okkotsu

The Prodigy Of Satoru Gojo

• First Appearance: Jujutsu Kaisen Zero

Yuta Okkotsu is one of the most powerful and talented jujutsu sorcerers in the series, who was taken into the fold by Satoru Gojo. Yuta, who was a naive young man before beginning his training at Jujutsu High, became a dark powerhouse whose unique curse relationship and technique fully manifested after being attacked by Suguru Geto.

Yuta Okkotsu is participating in the Culling Game to find and defeat Kenjaku and get vengeance for his sensei. Yuta’s cursed technique allows him to copy other cursed techniques he witnesses. This ability is incredibly taxing, but is made easier thanks to his bond with the cursed spirit, Rika, who supplies him with an endless well of cursed energy and stamina.
