Cyberpunk 2077 offers a vast array of weapons like Black Unicorn and Plan B with unique traits and origins.
Players must choose weapons wisely as they can shape their playstyle and provide strategic advantages in Night City.
Obtaining specific weapons like Kongou and Skippy requires completing missions and exploring the city for hidden treasures.
Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of the most celebrated RPGs of the past decade thanks to its rich lore, engaging open world, and the developers at CD PROJEKT Red. Cyberpunk 2077 brings to life a bleak, futuristic dystopia and drops players into one of the most dangerous environments in gaming: Night City. The game takes players down a tragic and violent path where their decisions shape the ending of the game.
In Cyberpunk 2077, players are going to need the best Pistols in Night City and Dogtown if they are to become a Legend that Johnny Silverhand admires.
Players must carve a path through endless droves of gangs, cyberpsychos, and elite hitmen and find a way to survive after a heist goes bad. They’ll need a powerful arsenal to survive their stay in Night City. Luckily, there are a number of powerful weapons available for players to grab early on. Here are some of the best OP weapons that players can get early in Cyberpunk 2077.

Black Unicorn
An Exclusive Weapon That Will Slice the Early Game to Shreds
Cyberpunk 2077 has an assortment of blades and swords that players can wield to cut their own path to the top of the food chain in Night City. One of the best katanas in the game is the Black Unicorn, a stunning Katana clad in black that makes even the tankiest enemy shred apart like tissue paper. The Black Unicorn is a reward that players receive from linking their game with the official GOG website. After doing so, players will receive the weapon directly into their inventory.
These items in Cyberpunk 2077 will provide players with the equipment and cyberware that they need to conquer Night City.
Inspired by the weapon of the same name from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Black Unicorn features a black blade design, with several runes etched into its side from the Witcherverse. What makes this weapon such a treasure is that it removes the stamina cost required for attacking, allowing players to go all out as long as they see fit.

Chaos
The Perfect Weapon for Starting Out in Night City
Weapon Type: Tech Handgun
Chaos is a tech weapon that players can obtain leading up to the big heist while dealing with Maelstrom. Players need to be careful, as one wrong decision will lock the weapon away until much later in the game. When progressing through the “The Pickup” mission, players must obtain Chaos from Royce, who must die before the mission ends. How players go about this is up to them.
The Chaos is a modified Kenshin, decked out in red coating and a Maelstrom logo. Chaos has a unique trait that randomizes its effects after each reload. The critical chance, status effects, and damage type are all affected by this, and the ratio can grow incredibly high quite fast, making it a great weapon for a number of powerful builds in Cyberpunk 2077.

Dying Night
A Deadly Full Auto Handgun
Weapon Type: Power Handgun
Most Iconic weapons in Night City have a notable owner, and Dying Night is no different. The Dying Night is V’s personal handgun, which they drop off to Wilson for tuning. Upon completing “The Gun” gig, V can claim the weapon free of charge from Wilson. Dying Night is a modified Militech M-10AF Lexington that is a common drop-in in Cyberpunk 2077, but Dying Night comes equipped with a custom frame and bayonet underbarrel attachment.
The weapon fires full auto and can turn targets into Swiss cheese with ease. Additionally, Dying Night comes with the unique trait that increases the damage based on movement speed and has increased quick melee damage, making Dying Night the perfect run-and-gun option for speedy players.
5
Kongou
Yorinobu Araska’s Custom Firearm
Weapon Type: Power Handgun
The Kongou is a custom version of the Liberty model that once belonged to the prince of the Arasaka empire, Yorinobu Arasaka. The weapon features a unique chromed detail with a polished finish and pink accents. The weapon has a firm wooden grip and uses iron sights. Liberty handguns are Power Weapons, coveted for their penetrating power and ricocheting potential.
The Kongou elevates the main stats of the Liberty, improving the critical damage and all but removing the recoil. The unique trait of the Kongou allows players to utilize the ricochet ability without installing cyberware; the weapon additionally boosts the angle at which ricochets can be performed. Players can get their hands on the Kongou during the Heist mission in Yorinobu’s suite, next to the bed.
4
Plan B
A Bullet to the Head Proves its Worth
Weapon Type: Power Handgun
Plan B is a controversial choice in Cyberpunk 2077, as not only was it the tool of V’s initial demise, but its previous owner was none other than Dex DeShawn. Plan B is a modified model of the Liberty handgun stylized with black and gold, with a “Dex” engraving on the side. The weapon, while gaudy, is still a nail driver for most enemies in the game.
What makes the Plan B handgun so special is that, aside from its two-hundred percent increase in headshot damage and heightened bleed effect, the gun uses Eddies instead of ammo, making the weapon have a near-infinite clip size (as long as players can make every shot count). Players can obtain Plan B by returning to V’s dump site and looting it from Dex’s body.
3
Divided We Stand
Spray and Pray Until the Mag is Empty
Weapon Type: Smart Weapon Assault Rifle
The Divided We Stand is a smart weapon customized by the brothers and sisters of the 6th Street gang. The weapon features a gold-plated look with a spray-painted NUSA flag on the side. The weapons are an upgrade from the base model Nakota D5 Sidewinder and utilize Smart Link cyberware for auto-tracking rounds.
As V levels up in Cyberpunk 2077, they will face threats both physical and cyber. Counter it all with a build that includes these essential perks.
The special trait of Divided We Stand allows the player to target up to five separate targets at once, in addition to an elevated chance to inflict chemical explosions. Players can obtain the Divided We Stand relatively quickly by completing the “Stadium Love” side job in Rancho Coronado.
2
Fenrir
A Netrunner’s Wet Dream
Weapon Type: Power Submachine Gun
Fenrir is one of the strongest submachine guns in the game, making it a perfect partner for various builds, from netrunners to Sandevistan users. The Fenrir is an upgrade of the Militech Saratoga; it has an increased rate of fire and can be modded.
Quickhacks are essential to becoming the best Netrunner in Night City, and Cyberpunk 2077 offers a plethora of deadly tools worth investing in.
The special trait that completely changes the game for some players is that the Fenrir has a ten percent chance to upload a quickhack to enemies upon a headshot. While the quickhack is random, this is an invaluable ability for a weapon and can wreak havoc in Night City. Players can obtain the Fenrir by completing the “Losing My Religion” side job in Northside by the cargo bay.
1
Skippy
The Most Trusted Gun in Night City
Weapon Type: Smart Weapon Handgun
Among all the weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, Skippy may be one of the most unique. As an upgrade from the base smart weapon HJKE-11 Yukimura, Skippy is a smart pistol that has been outfitted with an artificial intelligence, increasing its lethality. The weapon features a shabby design, similar to a prototype model, and works alongside intelligence-based cyberware.
Slippy’s special trait is in its personality; the AI will provide V with a number of options to either engage with enemies in a lethal or non-lethal manner. Once the weapon has acquired fifty kills or takedowns, Skippy will resign itself to a single mode and unlock a number of other features, such as firing without input, or possibly making all projectiles miss. Players can obtain Skippy by looting it off a body in an alley in Vista Del Ray.
