The fight that follows is brilliant, but nothing could’ve prepared viewers for the arrival of Akaza. This Upper Rank Three Demon Moon wasted no time in displaying his strength in an incredible battle against Rengoku, with the fatigued Flame Hashira doing everything in his power to save the children from this demon by keeping Akaza occupied until the sun rose, achieving this goal at the cost of his life.

Even Without Zenitsu And Inosuke, Other Characters Get Their Chance To Shine

Even without Zenitsu and Inosuke in this particular adventure, the Love and Mist Hashira get to shine in this incredible arc. Genya also gets to show off his demonic powers and a unique combat style that is unlike anything else seen in the series.

The two Upper Rank Demon Moons, Gyokko and Hantengu, are no joke and push the heroes to their very limit. Thankfully, Muichiro awakens his Demon Slayer Mark in the nick of time to take out the Upper Rank Five Demon Moon, while Hantengu is finally decapitated after a hellacious struggle against all of his personalities.

Hashira Training

An Important Training Arc Before The Final Stretch Of Battles

This preparation is completed in the nick of time once Muzan appears at the Demon Slayer Corps, only to be ambushed by Kagaya’s trap as the family sacrifices themselves in a last-ditch effort to take out the Demon King. This fails, and everyone is thrown into the Infinity Castle to set up the events of the final battle.
