Mecha Break doesn’t give players a collection of mechs that only differ slightly. Players will find a myriad of qualities unique to each mech that will help them stand out. Mechs will come in a wide range of roles and weight classes, but these are just the surface to understanding how a mech may play. There are 3 Support role mechs in the game. This includes Luminae, Pinika, and Serenith.

Mecha Break: 6 Best Starter Mechs

Mecha Break has a lot of playable mech options, but for those who are new to the game, these are the best ones they can pick.

Each will provide a vastly different playstyle, and players will want to try out all 3 of them to find the one that fits best for their personal support style. However, one mech clearly shines above the other two options if players are looking to pick the best and then get better with that specific choice. While there are two light supports and one medium support, there are no heavy mechs like Aquila for this role.

3

Luminae

Field Maintenance | Weapon Switch

  • Light Support Mech
  • Ballistic DEF: D
  • Blast DEF: B
  • Energy DEF: C
  • Physical DEF: C

Luminae can be a tricky mech for new players to pick up, and this is because they will need to switch between two different configurations while they play as it. The first is its Support Mode, which will be players main focus to ensure they provide allies with all the support they need.

The second is its Corruption Mode, which players will make use of for dealing damage and causing debuffs on foes. It makes up for being complicated by also being high up on the fastest mechs list, and being the top fastest among the support roles.

Kit Item Name

Description

Drone Launchers (Support Mode)

Both primary and secondary fire will send out a drone towards the targeted ally. Each drone will provide healing. No target means the drones will stay close by and heal Luminae.

Drone Launchers (Corruption Mode)

Both primary and secondary fire will send out a drone towards the targeted enemy. These drones will deal direct damage to their health, bypassing their shield. While not as high damage as other mechs, this can greatly aid melee attacker allies that also bypass shields.

Haze Diffuser (Support Mode)

Creates an aura that will heal all allies within its range. This is best used to assist allies that have concentrated on a specific point, such as a payload.

Haze Diffuser (Corruption Mode)

Creates an aura that will inflict damage to all enemies within it. Just like Luminae’s drones, this will bypass shields.

Support Jetwing (Support Mode)

Using this will cancel immobilization and stagger effects. It will also increase mobility and energy regeneration. Nearby allies are granted half of these buffs.

Support Jetwing (Corruption Mode)

Using this will cancel immobilization and stagger effects. It will also increase mobility and energy regeneration. Disables nearby enemies’ lock-on capabilities.

Mode Switch

Players will use this to switch between Support Mode and Corruption Mode.

2

Serenith

Ultra-Range Artillery | Wide Area Recon

  • Light Support Mech
  • Ballistic DEF: E
  • Blast DEF: D
  • Energy DEF: C
  • Physical DEF: C

This support mech does not focus on healing and protection like the other mechs on this list. Rather, it serves to support allies by greatly hindering enemies as a saboteur. There are some general tips and tricks players will want to understand beforehand, such as how shields and health work, before playing this mech.

This mech can see through walls and strike enemies behind cover, making it a terrifying threat that can cause many enemies to lose skirmishes against other mechs. This makes it the perfect support for players that don’t want to be a healer.

Kit Item Name

Description

Energy Autocannon

Serenith uses a plasma cannon to tear through enemy shields. It will constantly be recovering ammo when not being fired. Players can hold down the trigger to fire a charged shot with an AoE explosion. Stronger shots consume more ammo.

Orbital Targeting System

Just like with the Energy Autocannon, this weapon will gain ammo over time. Both can be fired at the same time. This attack calls down a beam from above to strike enemies that are behind cover. Hold down to call forth a powerful charged beam that will damage friends and foe alike.

Disruption Grappler

Enemies caught by this grappler will cause them to target their own allies and aid their enemies.

Disruptor

Using this can disrupt enemies from lock-on systems and cause them to miss their shots.

Recon Kit

Recon Kit boosts weapon and sidearm detection range and reveals enemies hiding behind structures.

While players can freely use Pinaka and Luminae the moment they get into the game. Serenity is a support with a price tag on it. Players will need to head over to Matrix Selections and pay 15,000 in order to unlock it. Luckily, players can try out the mech with a 7-day free trial to see if they like it first.

1

Pinaka

Field Maintenance | Cover Airdrop

  • Medium Support Mech
  • Ballistic DEF: B
  • Blast DEF: C
  • Energy DEF: B
  • Physical DEF: C

For players that have been around the block for PvP shooters, Pinaka is the de facto healer’s choice. It is a mech that focuses mainly on healing allies and staying on the battlefield to prevent downtime. Players that love being a healer and letting their allies do most of the heavy lifting will want to play this mech.

Pinaka also has arguably the best ability among all support mechs in the form of its Emergency Support Drone. Support players will want to master this mech to show off to their friends.

Kit Item Name

Description

Rapid Repair Grappler

Pinaka’s main weapon will target allies and provide a continuous stream of healing. Pressing this while in use will cause Pinaka to be pulled to their allies. This can help pull Pinaka to safety when they become targeted so that they can hide behind the ally they are healing.

Splitter

When there is nothing to heal, players will use this attack to deal damage. This will deal heavy damage to enemy shields to open up their health bar to other allies. The closer Pinaka is, the more damage those shields will take. Players will want to stay behind allies to shred the shields of their foes at close range while healing them back up when they need it.

Repair Drone

Pinaka can send out drones to heal allies. Each ally can only have 2 drones healing them, but Pianaka can send out a total of 4 drones at a time. This can let them focus their Rapid Repair Grappler on a heavily damaged ally while giving other allies drones to patch up minor scrapes.

Cover Airdrop Kit

Pianka deploys a barricade to take cover behind. Pinaka can call down these barricades in different spots or stack them on top of one another.

Emergency Support Drone

This creates a barrier around the targeted ally, or Pinaka itself, when there is no target. This barrier will protect them from all damage while also healing them and attacking any nearby foe. Those inside this barrier are also immune to immobilization and stagger. This allows the user to safely recover while being able to stay on the offensive.
