Publisher Activision has announced that it is giving Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone players the chance to earn 20 free Battle Pass tier skips if they simply log into either title by September 16. The announcement came alongside the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 5 Reloaded update, which will launch this week and bring plenty of new content to the shooter and its free-to-play counterpart, Call of Duty: Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 might be approaching the end of its life cycle, but there’s still plenty of new content on the way for players to check out. With the current season now approaching its halfway point, Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on the big Season 5 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The patch will go live on Thursday, September 4, and will bring a new multiplayer map, new and returning game modes, the Combat Bow scorestreak, and more to Black Ops 6. As for Warzone players, the update will introduce Deadline, a new limited-time mode where respawns are enabled and the lowest-scoring team is eliminated with each storm circle.
Call of Duty Players Can Get 20 Free Battle Pass Tier Skips
Alongside Call of Duty‘s Season 5 Reloaded reveal, Activision also made another major announcement. From now until September 16, players who log into either Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Call of Duty: Warzone will receive 20 free Battle Pass tier skips for Season 5. The publisher says the giveaway is in celebration of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 reveal, which came during Gamescom Opening Night Live last month. The next installment in the series is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on November 14.
The freebies don’t stop there, either, as fans also have the chance to get a plethora of Double XP tokens for Call of Duty. In the same blog post for Season 5 Reloaded, Activision says anybody who downloads the mid-season update and logs into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Warzone from 10 AM PT on September 4 until October 1 will receive five 1-hour Double Player XP tokens, five 1-hour Double Weapon XP tokens, and five 1-hour Double Battle Pass XP tokens. All of which can be carried forward into Black Ops 7 when it launches later this year.
Alongside Gobblegums, Double XP tokens will be the only thing to carry forward from last year’s Call of Duty entry, as Activision recently walked back the feature after massive backlash from the game’s community. Previously, the studio was going to allow players to transfer all of their weapon blueprints, operator skins, and any other cosmetic items from Black Ops 6 to Black Ops 7. But, due to the plethora of unrealistic skins that have been released in the current entry, fans campaigned for a more grounded approach with Black Ops 7, and Activision listened.
