Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone reveal all the new content arriving for players when Season 5 Reloaded launches later this week. Even though focus may be shifting towards the upcoming battle between Battefield 6 and Black Ops 7, Activision is making sure current Call of Duty players have plenty more to do with the new Season 5 Reloaded update.
As players have come to expect, the middle part of a season typically sees a big “Reloaded” update, where new content is added to the game, typically alongside a bigger than normal patch as well. After launching on August 7, Black Ops 6 Season 5’s Reloaded update is arriving this week, giving players new content to check out across all of its major playlists of multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Ahead of the Season 5 Reloaded launch on September 4, Call of Duty revealed all of the new content coming to players in a new blog. For multiplayer, Black Ops 6 is getting a new 6v6 core map called Jackpot, which is inspired by the High Rollers campaign mission as well as the Black Ops 4 Casino map. Alongside Jackpot, Black Ops 6 is bringing back Ransack and Blueprint Gunfight game modes, as well as the new Cranked Demolition where teams alternate between attacking and defending a pair of bomb sites. Planting, defusing, or taking out enemies will earn perks, as well as a bomb countdown, which forces the player to stay active to refresh the timer before it goes boom.
For Zombies enthusiasts, a Directed Mode is being added for the Call of Duty Reckoning map, giving players a maximum round cap of 15 as well as guidance through the main quest through the Janus Towers. Completing Directed Mode will unlock a new Calling Card variant, as well as the Keepsake weapon Charm and XP. Team Cranked returns as a Limited Time Mode, and two new Leaderboard events are on the way letting players compete for the top spot.
Finally, for Warzone, the Deadline limited time mode adds unlimited revives and a running score for each squad participating. However, with each circle collapse, the squads with the lowest scores are eliminated and replaced with enemy combatants. Keep in mind that each new circle means scores are reset, so squads will have to keep active to ensure they’re not eliminated.
In terms of general content, players can unlock the Gravemark .357 Revolver, a secondary pistol class weapon, earned through the upcoming Operation: Hell Ride event. The PPSh-41 SMG in Black Ops 6 gets a new magazine attachment called the Helical, which is earned from the Nuketown Black Party event. With a Free and Premium Rewards Track available, players can earn weapon skins, blueprints, operator skins based on the Nuketown mannequins, and more.
Even with Black Ops 7 launching a beta right around the corner, Activision is giving players another reason to return to the current game. As a thank you for downloading the Season 5 Reloaded update, players can get a pack of 2XP tokens for Battle Pass, Weapons, and Player experience to use provided the player finishes the download and logs into the game anytime from September 4 at 10am PT through October 1. Not only that, players who log into Black Ops 6 or Warzone from September 2 through 16 will be given 20 Battle Pass tier skip tokens for free.
