Heading into Diablo 4 Season 10, the Druid is in a great position to shine among the season’s meta builds, with several S-Tier options for players to try out. Thanks to the new Kilt of Blackwing Unique, the Companion Druid is a strong contender for the class’s best overall Diablo 4 Season 10 option. To make things even before for this build, it has two variants that function slightly differently, but are equally powerful and can be interchanged very easily.
The endgame meta for Diablo 4 Season 10 has a wide variety of build options for players to choose from, largely because of how Chaos Armor opens the door for new Unique combinations to create powerful builds that haven’t been possible before. Even with a lot of strong builds in Diablo 4 Season 10, Druids essentially have the lion’s share of meta picks to choose from. For Druid players looking for a build they can switch up on the fly, the Companion Druid is the way to go.
With the new Kilt of Blackwing Unique Pants, Ravens become the focal point of the Druid’s best Diablo 4 Season 10 build. This Unique increases the damage done by Ravens and also gives players the chance to summon another one whenever they use a Shapeshifting or other Companion skill. Combining this Unique with the Legendary Stormcrow’s Aspect and Savagery Chaos Perk makes the Companion Druid more powerful than ever before.
Aside from the Ravens skill, the Companion Druid will want a few other skills that form the basis of their gameplay loop:
A slate of offensive and support Shapeshifting skills is important for this build to maximize the opportunities for the Kilt of Blackwing to summon Ravens. Pulverize is still one of the Druid’s strongest offensive skills, and Claw functions as a Basic skill option to generate Spirit. Grizzly Rage and Debilitating Roar offer buff and debuff support skills, respectively, and Cyclone Armor rounds out the build with powerful Damage Reduction potential.
A universally beneficial Chaos Unique available in Diablo 4 Season 10 is the Fists of Fate, which this build can take full advantage of thanks to the frequent attacks having multiple Raven summons will produce.
What makes this build so versatile is its ability to swap out the Druid’s chosen companion without having to completely respec the player’s skills and gear. Almost all the skills on this build will stay the same between variants, simply exchanging Ravens for Wolves. Additionally, players will want to swap the Kilt of Blackwing for Storm’s Companion to give the Wolves Lightning damage and the Storm Howl ability, and drop the Stormcrow’s Aspect for the Aspect of the Alpha to turn Wolves into Werewolves with a damage buff and the chance to spread Rabies to enemies.
Storm’s Companion is not in the Druid’s pool of Chaos Armor, so players will want to swap it into the pants slot while making room for the Aspect of the Alpha on a different piece of gear before fully committing to this variation.
With a difference of only two pieces of gear, players should be able to swap between these build variants with relative ease using the Diablo 4 Armory system. This adaptability lends itself well to players looking to participate in a variety of Diablo 4 Season 10’s endgame activities, with Ravens being geared more towards the Pit and Infernal Hordes, while Wolves are better suited for fighting Lair Bosses.
