Description

Weapon maintenance is a key part of Dying Light: The Beast, and you’ll need to scavenge for crafting materials to keep your gear in tip-top shape. While you’ll need a little bit of everything to survive, Scraps and Blades are two of the most common resources you’ll need for repairs in Dying Light: The Beast.

Weapons degrade in quality with every swing in Dying Light: The Beast, but you can easily repair them from your inventory menu as long as you have enough resources. Scraps are the primary resource used for repairs, but cutting weapons like axes and swords will need Blades as well. Here’s how you can stock up on Scraps and Blades in Dying Light: The Beast.

How to Get Scraps and Blades in Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light The Beast Blades Location

Scraps and Blades are common crafting materials that can be found everywhere in Dying Light: The Beast. The best way to get them is by looting zombies and slain enemies. If you frequently check enemies’ pockets after combat, you’ll end up with dozens of Scraps and Blades in your inventory.

Dying Light The Beast Dark Zone Bag

Scraps and Blades are also found inside Dark Zones, zombie-infested buildings found all throughout Castor Woods. Each Dark Zone features different loot (shown when hovering over their icons on the map), but Scraps and Blades are common enough that you can find them in any Dark Zone. Just search through any bags, backpacks, or crates inside a Dark Zone, and you’ll walk away with a few of each.

Dying Light The Beast Mega Store Dark Zone

Some Dark Zones are better than others for finding Scraps and Blades, however. If you see a screw icon or a blade icon when hovering over a Dark Zone’s icon on the map, then there will be a bunch of them inside. Mega Store America is an excellent early-game farming spot for Scraps and Blades, for example. You can find it southeast of the town hall that you visit early in the main story.

Dying Light The Beast Merchant

If you’re in desperate need of repairs, then you can also buy Scraps and Blades from vendors at major settlements. The town hall in the Old Town region has a merchant who sells every crafting resource in addition to weapons and equipment. You can find him on the first floor of the building.

You won’t need that much cash to buy Scraps and Blades in Dying Light: The Beast, but you’ll quickly run out of savings if you solely rely on merchants for crafting materials. If you need resources, make a detour to a Dark Zone or start farming money so you can afford everything you need.
