This storyline revolves around the events that transpire as Sung makes a tough decision while also becoming more acquainted with hunter politics and its far-reaching implications.
Following his victory over the Ant King, Sung Jinwoo recruits him into his shadow army, becoming far more powerful than his wildest imagination. Instead of using his God-like abilities to serve an already established hunter organization, Jinwoo decides to start his own guild.

The Double Dungeon arc has to be the storyline with the most unexpected twists and turns. Until this point in the story, most fans are somehow used to the ever-evolving protagonist whose source of powers is a mystery that is never fully discussed. But as the series finally addresses the true nature of Jinwoo’s abilities, horrifying secrets are revealed that dramatically shift the overall narrative.
But the Double Dungeon arc does not stop there; it takes Jinwoo on a long journey that helps him understand eons-old conflicts that led to the emergence of mysterious Gates in the human world. Each moment in the arc is either filled with action-packed fight sequences or mind-bending revelations that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats once it is animated.
In the Jeju Island arc, the Japanese hunter organizations went through a serious crisis as some of the best hunters from the country were killed by the Ant King. So when the East Asian island nation was shocked by a sudden emergence of an S-rank Gate over Tokyo, the fear of a dungeon break and a subsequent genocide became a frightening possibility. Taking cognizance of the situation, the Japanese government decided to recruit a Russian hunter to control the situation before things spiralled out of control.
The Japan Crisis arc revolves around the events set into motion following the emergence of the S-rank Tokyo Gate. Although it is only a few chapters long, it is an important storyline that captures Jinwoo’s rise as an international hero who rivals National Level Hunters like Thomas Andre and Liu Zhigang.
Organized by the Federal Bureau of Hunters, the International Guild Conference is an annual convention of top hunters from around the world. As Jinwoo establishes himself as one of the strongest humans alive, he is invited to the event to represent Korea.

The Monarchs War arc is arguably the best storyline in the entire series. It captures the dramatic shift in power dynamics as ancient monsters descend on the human world with nefarious intentions. Some of these Monarchs, knowing Jinwoo’s frightening potential, decide to corner him before he transforms into an invincible being rivaling the Gods. The epic clash that unfolds not only changes Sung’s life but also uncovers dark truths that reveal the true nature of the conflict that humanity must reckon with. It beautifully sets the stage for the final arc that revolves around Jinwoo’s battle with forces that have rivaled the Gods for eons.
