According to leaks, Gorillaz will be at the center of the stage in the upcoming season of Fortnite Festival. Even though it was initially just a standard battle royale game, Fortnite has always been connected with music, and over the years, this connection has only grown deeper. At first, it was just emotes that brought music to the game, but then there were the live events, which started when Marshmello took the virtual stage at Pleasant Park and got his own cosmetic set. More artists then joined the roster of skins, and this was followed by the addition of jam tracks and Fortnite Festival.
Fortnite Festival is a fun music game where players must attempt to play the keys according to the song that is playing, similarly to Guitar Hero. Players can pick any of their owned jam tracks or play any of the songs currently in the featured section. Just like most permanent game modes in Fortnite, the Festival mode has its own pass, the Music Pass. With the Music Pass, players can unlock dozens of songs, instruments, cosmetic items, and, of course, skins. The best part is that the skins included in the Music Pass are always artists.
With Fortnite Festival Season 10 just around the corner, players had begun to speculate who would be headlining the show. Many players thought that Daft Punk would be making a return via the Festival game mode, as rumors indicated the band could reunite virtually. However, that is not the case, and fans don’t have to wonder anymore, as Fortnite leaker Fecooo_has dug into the game files and uncovered that Gorillaz will be the stars of the Season 10 Music Pass.
Unfortunately, there is a catch: not all the members of Gorillaz will be included in the Music Pass. According to several leaks, players who purchase the Music Pass will have a chance to unlock the Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs skins, but if they want to own 2D and Noodle, they’ll have to buy them separately when they hit the Item Shop. It is likely that they will be available after the next Item Shop reset following the start of Fortnite Festival Season 10.
Fortnite Festival Season 10 starts on August 26, 2025. If it follows the same patterns as previous Fortnite Festival seasons, gamers can expect it to go live at 9 AM ET after patch v37.10, which is the next Fortnite update, currently scheduled for the same day. Players who are looking forward to Gorillaz in Fortnite will be happy to know that XP is the same in each game mode, so they can play and grind the pass however they please and still unlock everything it includes.
