Summary

  • From Season 4 won’t release in 2025, likely in early 2026, according to Sandino Moreno.
  • Fans anticipated Season 4 eagerly due to the mysterious plot, but the longer wait is causing frustration.
  • Despite the disappointment of a delayed release, MGM’s commitment to the series reassures fans of a polished season.

Now that From fans know that they will be getting more horror/sci-fi action when the series returns in season 4, its most recent update isn’t news that will please its fanbase, as a star from MGM+’s hit reveals a disappointing release date statement. After three wild and weird seasons, From season 4 was greenlit in November 2024, with filming for the 10-episode season now underway in Nova Scotia, Canada, the same location as its previous installments.

Not only did sci-fi horror fans dive headfirst into the show’s wacky theories that ended up spreading like wildfire across social media, but they also seemed to love the cast of From, especially that of Harold Perrineau and Eion Bailey, who delivered a heartfelt and engaging performance as the characters Boyd and Jim. However, what really kept From’s audience on the edge of their seats was the show’s endless mystery, which seemed like a never-ending and confusing labyrinth week after week as the plotline took strange twists and turns, leaving fans wondering where each episode’s mayhem-filled world would head and who would actually survive. Even though From has a loyal and dedicated fan base, many are getting frustrated at how long it is taking for season 4 to come out, and now it looks like more disappointment is on the horizon.

From’s Sandino Moreno Reveals Bad News for Season 4’s Release Date

Tabitha holding metal pole in from season 3

Speaking with The Direct, Sandino Moreno, who plays Tabitha Matthews in From, revealed that fans will have to wait even longer to see season 4, and it’s unlikely to come out at any stage this year. Moreno said that filming on the fourth season should likely wrap up around November 2025, and following that, fans will see the next batch of new episodes arrive towards the beginning of next year. Here’s what Moreno said when asked what the odds are that fans will see season 4 air by the end of the year:

“I think the end of the year is a pretty quick turnaround, because I feel that we finish [in] November, so I don’t have high hopes at the end of the year, but next year, the beginning of next year, it’s going to come.”

Moreno also added that she “[hasn’t] read the first script yet,” and doesn’t know what to expect from the upcoming episodes either. This is certainly not good news for fans who are already at their wits’ end when it comes to the long wait already for season 4, and now knowing that they won’t see their favorite series at all this year will likely push some over the edge. However, From season 2 only came to an end in September 2024, which was only 9 months ago, so knowing that they are filming season 4 right now, with a likely release date of 2026, really isn’t that long to wait compared to other shows – I’m looking at you, Stranger Things.

Even though fans won’t get any From action this year nor a concrete release date likely anytime soon, it’s reassuring to know that MGM is dedicated to wanting to deliver another season, especially in the current climate of companies canceling beloved shows. It may not be ideal to wait a bit longer, but what most fans will want is a polished and engrossing season 4 that will answer many questions left over from season 3, and that takes time and work.
