Description

Players entering the city of San Vansterdam in EA’s new Skate. Reboot will have a huge range of tricks to use at their disposal. However, remembering how to perform this huge list of maneuvers. Luckily, we’re here to provide you with all the help you’ll need. Along with showing you how to access Skate‘s Skatepedia, we’ll provide you with a complete list of every possible trick currently available in Skate.

Skate uses a special control scheme called the Flick-It System. Players familiar with the Skate franchise will know that this control scheme has been a key element of the series since it launched. This system is based around controlling direction with the left thumb stick, and controlling the board with the right stick. Our list will include the name of each trick, along with the Flick-It controls required to perform them.

How to Access Skatepedia in Skate

Skate-Skatepedia-Header

Skatepedia is the overall list of all tricks available in Skate. You can access this system by visiting the main menu and pressing X (or Square), and navigating to Skatepedia.

A Note on Stance: Remember that several factors, like Frontside and Backside, will depend on your stance. This will affect the controls considerably. Our character’s stance is Goofy. If your character is regular-footed, the controls will be mirrored. Skatepedia will list all tricks based on your character’s current stance.

Nollie Tricks:

In Skate, the Nollie is when you use your nose to pop your tricks. Every basic trick you can do, you can do also do Nollie. The list of tricks is exactly the same as the regular tricks, except you pop off the nose. This means the direction of the flick is essentially opposite. We’ll list a few tricks as an example, so you can see how the right stick functions. This also applies to Fakie, which is when you essentially ride backwards. If you are unfamiliar with skateboarding, it may be helpful to think of Fakie as ‘Switch Nollie.’
