How to Do a Low Driven Shot in EA FC 26

With updated rosters, tweaks to the on-the-field gameplay, and some refinements to some of the core game modes like Ultimate Team, Career, and Clubs, there’s ample reason for fans to pick up EA Sports FC 26. While dribbling with the ball feels more fluid and dynamic, some things have remained the same as they were in previous years. One of those is how powerful and useful low driven shots can be when used effectively, so here, I’ll explain how to score them easily in EA Sports FC 26.
How to Score Low Driven Shots in EA FC 26
A low driven shot can be performed by first pressing B on Xbox (Circle on PlayStation) to power up your shot, and then pressing B/ Circle again immediately afterwards. The second tap needs to be done very quickly after you’ve charged up your shot, so this might take some practicing to get right.
If you’re wanting to get the technique down, you can use the practice arena from the main menu to learn the timing in a stress-free environment.
Alternatively, you can opt for a low driven finesse shot, which requires players to press and hold RB/R1 while they’re pressing B/ Circle both times. This will put a bit of curl on the shot, which is ideal for if you’re coming in from the wing and want to angle your shot into the far corner and curl it out of reach of the goalkeeper.
There’s also the low driven power shot, which can be executed by pressing and holding LB and RB / L1 and R1 while pressing B/ Circle both times. This will cause the camera to zoom in slightly, but will make your shot nigh-on unstoppable if you’re able to correctly aim it at the goal (and away from the keeper).
Players with higher shooting stats are, obviously, better at executing low driven shots and aiming into the corners. This might make it more difficult to pull off low driven shots during the early stages of your time in Ultimate Team, for example, where you might be using lower-rated players.
From my experience in the game so far, I’ve found that using the standard low driven shot and aiming for one of the bottom corners of the goal is really effective for beating the keeper in one-on-ones when you’re somewhat central and running at goal. If you’re coming from one of the wings, then using the low driven finesse shot and aiming for the far corner can be effective (though a normal finesse shot is also very useful here).
On the other hand, low driven power shots have proven to be more difficult to execute due to the more specific aiming that’s required, and the sheer amount of button presses that needed to be done in such a short amount of time. This is one that’ll take practice, but once you’ve got it locked down, you can score some wonderful, long-range attempts from outside the box.
The best way to score low driven shots is to try and get a player with a high shooting stat, but also a high speed stat. This makes it easier for you to break through the defense and get into one-on-one situations with the opposition goalkeeper with plenty of time to execute the low driven shot and aim it into the corner. Slower attackers will struggle to get into the space and break away from defenders, meaning they’ll be under pressure as you’re trying to execute the shot.
