  • Temporal Manipulation: Long Press Reload to swap between fast-firing Arc mode or slow-firing Stasis mode. Final blows and precision hits overcharge the opposing mode to enable additional effects.

Graviton Spike is the first new Exotic Hand Cannon in a long time, so it’s only right for Bungie to provide players with a satisfying and powerful weapon. Graviton Spike’s default Intrinsic Trait and Exotc Perk allows the weapon to be overcharged on precision hits or final blows, providing lightning strikes for Arc shots and Stasis crystals for Stasis shots. With a swap between fast-firing Arc bullets and slow-firing Stasis missiles, players have a fun weapon that can be crafted into the perfect Hand Cannon when players find all intrinsic and catalysts:

  • Tri-Planar Mass Driver: Fires a spread of Void energy projectiles. Aiming down sights narrows the spread.

Third Iteration might be in a bugged place at the launch of The Edge of Fate due to its (accidental) triple damage buff with the Anti-Barrier Scout and Pulse artifact mod, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great Exotic when this eventually gets patched. Third Iteration is a Scout Rifle that has Shotgun behavior, meaning it has a pellet spread for extra damage at close range, and aiming at an enemy can tighten the spread for even more damage, with special perks to make players invisible and detonate powerful Void projectiles.

  • Coronal Culmination: Hold R2 to charge; release to fire. Charged projectiles have a delayed Solar payload.

Whirling Ovation is set to be the rarest Exotic in The Edge of Fate because it requires players to defeat the final boss in the Desert Perpetual raid, and even then, it’s only around a 5% chance to drop. With a difficult endgame activity bound to this Exotic, it’s no surprise that it performs pretty well to make it worth it. Whirling Ovation allows players to build Anticipation by holding the fire button to charge the rocket, which releases a devastating blast of immense damage that combines Solar and Strand for an epic radius.

Moirai

Hunter Chest Armor for Strand Users Who Detonate Tangles with Threaded Spike

Moirai

Armor Perk

Description

Webcatcher

Threaded Spike can bounce to Tangles, detonating them and returning immediately. Tangles detonated by Threaded Spike are rewoven and retrieved by it. Catches without a Tangle refund extra melee energy.

Moirai is the Exotic Chest Armor for Hunters, and it’s perfect for Strand users. If a Tangle is on the field, which is something that’s rather common from Strand weapons and subclasses, then players can use their Threaded Spike to explode the Tangle to see it return to you. If players are able to catch the Threaded Spike, then they not only get their melee charge back, but they get a Tangle to throw. Essentially, Moirai is an opportunity for players to constantly detonate Tangles and draw them in like a boomerang that can duplicate a Tangle for absurd damage and Woven Mail.

Melas Panoplia

Titan Gauntlets That Turn a Hammer of Sol Into Thor’s Mjolnir

Melas Panoplia

  • How to Get Eunoia: Complete The Edge of Fate on Legendary difficulty or play The Sieve activity on Kepler.

Armor Perk

Description

Forge Master

Collecting a Firesprite or rapid Solar final blows makes you a Forge Master, allowing you to recall your Throwing Hammer. After impacting a target, recall your hammer at full intensity to perform a Perfect Recall, causing an explosion of forge slag. Perfect Recalls and collecting Firesprites extend your time as a Forge Master.

The Forge Master perk from the Melas Panoplia’s Exotic Gauntlets is incredibly fun, but not the most powerful. It’s essentially a new melee build for use on Solar subclasses that allows players to throw their hammer, and recall it back to them, much like Thor does with his hammer Mjolnir. The snap is very satisfying to use, and players can build into greater damage numbers by investing in the Melee stat for their Armor 3.0. To activate Forge Master, use a weapon like Devil’s Ruin to get rapid Solar final blows or collect a Firesprite.

1

Eunoia

Warlock Gauntlets for Hellion Projectiles to Deal More Damage

Eunoia

  • How to Get Eunoia: Complete The Edge of Fate on Legendary difficulty or play The Sieve activity on Kepler.

Armor Perk

Description

Consul’s Pitch

Hellion projectiles deal increased damage the further they travel, eventually fracturing into scorching shrapnel.

The Warlock’s Exotic Gauntlets, Eunoia, are pretty good for players who want what’s essentially a burning turret to follow them around. Players will need Hellion on their Solar class, and upon activating it, they will have a useful tool that will provide Scorch and Ignition to enemies, so long as players are at an appropriate distance. Combine Eunoia with Ember of Ashes and Ember of Char for additional Scorch and Ignition spread, ensuring that the battleground is raining fire on enemies.
