Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate brings forth a new and exciting weapon type, the Combat Bow. As of the release of The Edge of Fate, there is only one Combat Bow, and that’s the Opaque Hourglass. This legendary Power Ammo weapon provides players with what’s effectively a crossbow in Destiny 2, and it’s extremely fun to use for those who know how to get it and what perks to use to get themselves the Opaque Hourglass god roll. Without further ado, check out below how to farm this weapon and the god roll stats.

How to Get Opaque Hourglass
Opaque Hourglass is an exclusive drop from the Desert Perpetual raid, meaning players will need The Edge of Fate expansion and must complete the campaign. Players can farm Opaque Hourglass from the Epoptes, Lord of Quanta encounter, and once players have their first drop if this Combat Bow, they will be able to farm it repeatedly without relying on a weekly reset. Players can also spend 20 Spoils of Conquest at the raid vendor for another Opaque Hourglass drop, but players must have beaten Koregos, the Worldline, the final encounter of the raid, for this kiosk to appear at the end. In terms of weapon design, the Opaque Hourglass is very cool, but the perks are somewhat limited, thus making it a Heavy Weapon that doesn’t provide the damage that it could. Still, there’s a PvE god roll below to look for when it comes to boss damage.

Frictionless Rail will increase both the reload speed and projectile speed of Opaque Hourglass, making it a more reliable weapon to fire to counter its slow effects. The best Bolt to use for Opaque Hourglass is the Charged Bolts provide a damage over time effect, meaning players can stack damage with other weapons, hot-swapping to different weapons to provide consistent and constant damage to stun and weaken enemies. For the 1st Perk, Field Prep is a good choice because the ammo supply is limited (when players aren’t picking up their bolts), so an increase to reload speed, stow speed, and ready speed, while crouching, is a great way to keep damage up and fast against bosses. Really, any perk works depending on how players want to use Opaque Hourglass, but for damage against Minibosses and Bosses being a focus, Vorpal Weapon will be a great choice for a 10% damage buff.
Opaque Hourglass is not viable for PvP, so there will be no God Roll provided for the Crucible.
