If you fall from a high place and take even a little bit of damage, the badge attempt is over. Since the game has many weird ledges, fall damage happens a lot, especially if you’re just starting out.
There are a few things PEAK players can do to avoid taking fall damage. One of the best tips is to play with friends. If you are running low on stamina or struggling with a tricky climb, your teammates can give you a hand and help you up.
Make sure you are using the rope aids too. Pitons are helpful as they give you a place to stop and catch your breath. Things like the Chain Cannon, Rope Cannon, and Anti-Rope Cannon can also save you when the path ahead looks impossible. Some climbs don’t even look like they have a way up, so having these tools can make all the difference.
