Description

Tools in Hollow Knight: Silksong are designed so that they can be useful in every situation and encounter. This means that players will have to switch out tools depending on whether they are simply exploring the map or fighting a boss.

Dealing with the annoying flying enemies can be quite hard, but thankfully, the Curvesickle solves that problem. This guide offers information on the location of the Tool as well as the previous requirements players will need to complete in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Meeting the Requirements

To acquire the Curvesickle Tool, there are two requirements you have to meet first. The first requirement is to acquire the Curveclaw Tool. This tool is located inside the Hunter’s March. To reach Hunter’s March, you need to go to the Marrow and go to the top right section, where a path above, where you free Grindle from his cell, leads to an Ant Guardian. This boss fight is extremely difficult, especially if you do not already have the dash ability. With the ability, you can simply dash in and out after attacks. After the fight, make your way to the right, where you will meet Shakra for the map, and you can go up to find a Bench.

Be careful when sitting on the bench as it is trapped. You can go left of the bench to activate a lever, which makes it so that you will not lose any health when sitting on it.

Head up from the bench area, you can go through the passage on the left to find Mottled Skarr, who is an NPC selling a few items, one of which is the tool you need.

In the case that you arrive at the NPC’s location in the second or third act of the game, players will find the NPC dead. However, there is another way to acquire the Tool which will not cost you any Rosaries. Head out of the room and go up to find another passage on your left. Here you will find the same Ant Guardian alongside a flying enemy. Deal with both of these enemies and head left to find the Curveclaw.

The second requirement is to reach the third act in the game, which might take players quite a bit of time, as it involves completing all the wishes, gaining access to Bellhome, and finding all the Fleas.

Acquiring the Curvesickle in Act 3

Go to the Far Fields Bellway Station and go up the air stream. To your right, you can enter a room with a target out front. Here you will find four targets hanging and a non-hostile enemy who will disappear upon seeing you. With the Curveclaw Tool equipped, position yourself in a way that when you use it, you can hit all four of them at the same time. Once you do that, the enemy will come out and request the tool. Give it to him, leave, and go rest at a bench. Come back after that, and you will find the Curvesickle lying on the ground for your taking.

What Does the Curvesickle Do in Silksong?

What Does the Curvesickle Do in Silksong

The Curvesickle is basically an upgraded version of your Curveclaw. It has a wider range and is a much better option overall. Since acquiring the upgraded tool does not require any Rosaries or difficult platforming sections, the Curvesickle is a must for players who have the Curveclaw as their equipped Tool and use it to deal with the annoying flying enemies. Using it is the same as the smaller version as well.
