Scandalabra (also known as Jon) is dateable #64 in Date Everything and loves to gossip about the other objects around the house. He’s also incredibly posh and takes a lot of pride in his appearance, or so it may seem at first glance. While Scandalabra certainly has some stories to tell, romancing him can be a little less straightforward. In this guide, I’ll explain how to find and romance Scandalabra in Date Everything, so you can add this wannabe aristocrat to your list of love interests.

Where to Find Scandalabra/ Jon in Date Everything
Dateable 64’s Lurking on the Dining Table
Scandalabra can be found on the dining table, which is between the piano and the kitchen. He’s the candelabra, otherwise known as a very fancy candlestick holder, right in the center of the table.
As with most other characters, you don’t need to do anything in particular to have a conversation with Scandalabra once you’ve found him. Just put on the Dateviators and ‘scan’ him to make him appear.
How to Romance Scandalabra/ Jon
Getting Scandalabra’s ‘Love’ ending requires players to pass a few different checks. Beyond just being pleasant and taking an interest in the gossip he has to share with you, you need to answer all of his candelabra-related questions correctly, share at least two pieces of gossip with him, and then share your Date-a-Dex and have romanced a significant number of characters.
Scandalabra Trivia Answers
During your third conversation with Scandalabra, he’ll ask you a series of questions about his anatomy. By getting each of these correct, you’ll significantly improve your chances of romancing him. The correct answers are:

Sharing Gossip with Scandalabra
The other way to Scandalabra’s heart is to share any gossip you have on other characters in the house with him. This does require you to complete several characters’ questlines, as this is where you’ll get all the juicy information that Scandalabra so craves. To speed up the process for you, you’ll need to have completed the questlines for at least two of the following:
Lux (I just got a hate ending with him, and this worked fine)
Dirk and Harper (specifically, you need to make them break up)
After sharing the gossip with Scandalabra, he’ll be well and truly impressed and smitten with you (as long as you’ve been nice and respectful with him up until this point).
Date-a-Dex Comparing
The next ‘test’ will come in the form of comparing Date-a-Dex’s. Scandalabra’s doesn’t have much (or anything) in it, but he wants to look through yours. I did this having romanced about 20 or more of the characters in the game, and he was thoroughly impressed. However, I also tried this with another save, and he told me to romance some others and come back to him.
The Three Kisses
With Scandalabra/ Jon impressed with your love affairs, he’ll invite you to kiss him in the overworld. However, he gets a bit picky about it, so you end up doing this three times. You’ll need to do the following for each occasion:
First Kiss: With the Dateviators equipped, interact with him to light his candles. Then, take the Dateviators off and interact with him again to kiss him.
Second Kiss: With the Dateviators equipped, interact with him to extinguish him, and then interact with him again with the Dateviators off to give him a second kiss.
Third Kiss: The third and final time, he’ll want you to use tongues. Just interact with him again (unextinguished) with the Dateviators off, and you’ll look around the room before kissing him with some smooching sounds.
Once you interact with Scandalabra again, he’ll confide his love for you, and you can tell him the feeling is mutual. Just like that, you’ll have romanced Scandalabra.
Some players are finding that Scandalabra appears to be bugged, and they can’t advance his questline after they’ve shared the gossip with him, or that he’ll repeatedly say the same line about kissing him, even after they have. Developer Sassy Chap Games has noted the problem and is working on a fix.
How to Get Scandalabra’s Friend and Hate Endings in Date Everything
The friend and hate endings for Scandalabra in Date Everything are relatively straightforward to get, as long as you know what you need to do.
Friends
To become friends with him, answer all of his questions correctly, and then share with him two pieces of gossip about other characters in the house. This will trigger his ‘Friends’ ending, from which point you can carry on towards the ‘Love’ ending.
If you do choose to continue with his questline, you can also choose ‘Even though we kissed… I would still much rather just be friends,’ in the final dialogue choice after kissing him three times.
Hate
To make Scandalabra hate you, you need to be constantly rude about him and show that you’re not interested in gossiping about the other objects in the house. As long as you’re consistently dismissive and rude, he’ll quickly learn to dislike you until one day he’ll be tired of your games, and you’ll get the ‘Hate’ ending.

After you’ve romanced 10 other characters in Date Everything, you’ll unlock the ability to realize characters. However, each character has its own SPECS requirements to be realized. For Scandalabra, these are:
