How to Run RPO in College Football 26
Sometimes, you’re better off deciding to pass or rush after the ball is snapped. That’s when you’ll want to run RPO in College Football 26.
Just Focus on the TDs
To sim defense in College Football 26, press in the left stick (L3) when you’re choosing any play. This will bring up the ‘Super Sim’ menu. From here, select ‘Play Options’ and you can choose from the following:
- Play Key Moments
- Play Full Game
- Play All Offense
- Play All Defense
To skip defense entirely, select the ‘Play All Offense’ option. Once you back out of this menu, if you are about to run a defensive play, the game will sim through the match until your team is back in control of the ball. You can then select the ‘Play Moment’ option to jump into the action and drive your offense into the end zone.
If your team has the ball when you jump into the ‘Super Sim’ menu, you can carry on playing as normal. As soon as the opponent ends up with the ball, the game will be simulated until you’re back in possession.
Simulating the defensive parts of a match doesn’t mean that you’re going to cruise to victory. The opposing team can still score against you, so make sure you’re making every offensive play count. Using the best teams in College Football 26 is the best way to concede less when on defense.
The other options in the ‘Super Sim’ menu are all pretty self-explanatory. ‘Play Full Game’ means the game will play out as normal with you in control of everything, while ‘Play Key Moments’ will skip the early stages of drives or downs and just put you in control for the most crucial moments where a TD or turnover of possession is on the line. Finally, ‘Play All Defense’ will skip all the offensive plays and have you purely focused on the defense.
Lowering the difficulty mode in College Football 26 can give you a bit more time when controlling defense and help you learn the plays. Depending on your skill level, this might help you enjoy controlling the defense more.
