Ange is the in-game trade market NPC inPath of Exile 2, allowing players to put their items up for sale in her shop, which are all automatically listed on the PoE 2 trade website. Interested buyers can then directly interact with Ange to purchase the item without having to involve the seller at all, effectively allowing players to complete sales even when they’re not online.
However, in order to unlock Ange as a merchant, players will first have to complete a special quest to recruit her as their aide. That said, there is another way to enlist Ange as well. Here’s the breakdown.
Ange Location (In-Game Merchant NPC) in Path of Exile 2
Ange can be found in the city of Kingsmarch, the first map in Act 4 of Path of Exile 2. After defeating Doryani in Act 3 and talking to Alva to progress the main story, players will find themselves in a coastal city named Kingsmarch. This city serves as a hub area for players to navigate the Act 4 archipelago, similar to Clearfell in Act 1.
Players will find Ange with a golden quest marker floating on her head next to the harbor, near the wooden ramp that leads down to the ship. She will be located just across from Tujen, opposite Rog’s shop.
Talking to Ange will trigger the quest “Hostile Takeover,” which tasks players with “finding a suitable location to establish a hideout.” Completing this quest will unlock the in-game trade market in PoE 2, allowing players to acquire Ange as an in-game market browser NPC.
How to Complete ‘Hostile Takeover’ in Path of Exile 2
A “suitable location to establish a hideout” refers to Whakapanu Island, directly east of Kingmarch. Here are the steps you need to complete in order to complete the quest.
Visit Whakapanu Island via ship and progress until you reach the “Singing Caverns.”
Defeat Diamora (Mermaid boss) at the end of the cavern.
Return to Kingsmarch and talk to Ange to inform her of the good news.
Select “Travel to Shoreline Hideout.”
Clear all enemies at the beach and return to Ange to claim the Hideout.
Ange will now be unlocked as an in-game merchant.
If you’re having trouble finding all hostiles on the beach, look for scorpion tails sticking out of the sand. These enemies can be hard to spot as they remain underground unless you approach.
How to Get Merchant’s Tabs in Path of Exile 2
To use Ange’s services as a trade NPC, you’ll need Merchant’s tabs. There are two ways to get Merchant’s Tabs in Path of Exile 2.
Microtransaction Shop: Merchant’s tabs can be purchased using real money in PoE 2. A single tab costs 40 points ($4) while a 6-tab deal costs 200 points ($20).
Premium Stash Tabs: Any Premium tabs players have purchased in the past can be converted directly into Merchant’s tabs from account settings on the PoE 2 website.
