Description

According to a recent leak, Infinity Nikki fans may find themselves playing a far more ambitious Version 1.8 than previously assumed, as it will feature a new zone bigger than the Firework Isles. While Infinity Nikki fell from grace following the disastrous launch of Version 1.5, Infold has quietly attempted to salvage the game’s reputation with subsequent updates. Many players have found Infold’s efforts either too slow or too superficial, but one thing cannot be denied: Version 1.7 was a step in the right direction.

The darker tone and more mature themes resonated with Infinity Nikki players, as the community praised Blue Tears Season for embracing the franchise’s storytelling roots. While it failed to address the other issues that Version 1.5 introduced to Infinity Nikki, it pivoted direction in a way that got fans excited all over again, as they experienced the emotional story of Sith and Alesiya.

Infinity Nikki Players Are Praising the New Update

Following months of controversy, many Infinity Nikki players are enjoying Blue Tears Season, praising its change in storytelling direction.

Even though housing for Infinity Nikki was delayed to Version 1.9, it would seem that Infold is trying its best to avoid making the same mistake as in Version 1.5. According to kkr_ro, a reliable voice in the Infinity Nikki community, Version 1.8 will not only feature double 5-Star banners, but it will also come with a new zone – an island that highlights the Linlang Empire. This zone will seemingly feature a total number of up to 80 Whimstars for Nikki and Momo to collect. By comparison, the Firework Isles had 56 Whimstars in total – implying that the new island will be more ambitious in scope.

Infinity Nikki: Version 1.8 May Bring Linlang Back in a Major Way

While Version 1.8 will still feature a dye system built on premium currency, the next set of banners in Infinity Nikki will once again have 10 pieces in total. Considering the 5-Star outfits from Version 1.6 and Version 1.7, it would seem that Infold is reluctant to push 11 pieces – at least for the time being. One of the 5-Stars is rumored to have a fox theme, while the other will seemingly have a white dragon design.

As for future content, Version 2.0 will be the next content milestone for Infinity Nikki, as it will introduce a whole new region of Miraland. For many players, these next couple of Infinity Nikki updates will likely decide if the game is worth investing in, as the community’s faith in Infold was shaken in the wake of Version 1.5. The effects of the boycott of Infinity Nikki have certainly affected the game’s revenue, but it remains to be seen what kind of response Infold will implement in the long term.
