Solo Leveling is one of the most popular anime series in the world. Ever since the second season was released, the anime’s fame has increased tenfold. It shattered numerous Crunchyroll records, overtaking the likes of One Piece and Demon Slayer in the process.
After a phenomenal second season, fans knew that an announcement regarding the third season was imminent. They waited for a few days, but A-1 Pictures released no new updates. The wait into months and still there is no news about Solo Leveling Season 3. The lack of information has instilled fear into the minds of fans that their favorite series might not be coming back anytime soon, but is there any truth to it?
Solo Leveling has the potential to grow into a major franchise and challenge the likes of One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. The statistics pulled from Crunchyroll clearly indicate that Solo Leveling is growing rapidly, and it won’t stop anytime soon. Considering the popularity of the anime, it would have made sense for A-1 Pictures to announce Solo Leveling Season 3 immediately after the conclusion of the second season. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Solo Leveling’s future is still up in the air, and chances are that the new season won’t be announced until much later. In fact, some rumors suggest that Solo Leveling Season 3 could release as late as 2028, which is three years away.
The people involved with the project haven’t dropped any major hints about the release date for Solo Leveling Season 3. Most people have simply asked fans to support the series so that the third season can become a reality. However, it doesn’t make sense, especially when Solo Leveling has been performing so well. Given the silence from the studio and staff, it’s safe to say that Solo Leveling won’t be returning any time soon. So, fans should bid adieu to it.
Despite the absence of a promising update, some fans are trying to remain optimistic about Solo Leveling Season 3. They want to believe that the anime will release the third season in 2026. However, there is absolutely zero chance of Solo Leveling releasing in 2026. Based on older statements about the production time, it will likely take the studio at least one year to finish. Solo Leveling Season 3 will probably release in 2027.

The wait is certainly going to be long, but luckily, there are plenty of other shows that help fill the void. Even some of the new releases from 2025 make for excellent choices. Fans can watch Takopi’s Original Sin, Lord of Mysteries, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, and Sakamoto Days. All these titles are new, and they offer almost as good entertainment as Solo Leveling. If fans are not bothered by older animation styles, they can indulge in One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Dragon Ball, and Fullmetal Alchemist.
Even though the third season of the anime hasn’t been officially announced, it’s quite obvious that the series hasn’t been canceled. In fact, it’s only a matter of time before Solo Leveling Season 3 is announced. After all, it is one of the most beloved anime in the world.
When the anime returns, Sung Jinwoo will face brand-new challenges. He will learn about the Monarchs, who are the biggest threat to world peace. Sung Jinwoo will also meet the Architect of the System, who is responsible for his powers. The hero will also get to meet Thomas Andre, the strongest known Hunter in the world.
There is also the possibility of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in sharing some romantic moments together. Cha Hae-in fell for Jinwoo after their first meeting, and since then, she has harbored romantic feelings towards him. Hopefully, the heroine will get the opportunity to express her innermost desire to Sung Jinwoo in the third season.
