Hollow Knight: Silksong is jam-packed with content that players can indulge in when they’re not gunning for the final boss to complete the game. After reaching the Citadel in Act Two, you can restore the bell inside the First Shrine tower in Songclave to transform the area into a safe harbor for NPCs to settle in.
The area will eventually become an NPC hub, where players will be able to take on the Wandering Merchant from the Wish Wall to unlock the vendor for the area, Jubilana. Unlocking this merchant in the Songclave area of the Citadel is quite important, as she sells some of the most important items in the game, including a tool called 
Ascendant’s Grip (piton). This tool will make platforming and climbing a lot easier for players, and here’s how to complete the quest to get it.
To start the Wandering Merchant quest, players will need to revisit the Songclave area of the Citadel after ringing the bell inside the First Shrine in Silksong. This time around, there will be a host of NPCs taking refuge around the area, as the Caretaker predicted.
You’ll need to simply head over to the Wishboard and start the quest “The Wandering Merchant,” which will set Hornet on a search for Jubilana, a pilgrim merchant who’s gone missing inside the halls of Coral Chambers. So, you’ll need to head to the Coral Chambers’ larger vertical area to start investigating Jubilana’s disappearance.
Once players enter the larger vertical area of the Coral Chambers, right after Songclave, they’ll spot a pile of bodies on top of a platform to the left. Interacting with the bodies will allow the Hornet to track Jubilana’s movement and hone in on her location.
Keep following Jubilana’s trail, as you’ll encounter more bodies along the way that will help you pinpoint her location. After making your way through the hallways, you’ll eventually reach the smaller vertical area of the Coral Chambers. Jubilana’s trail will lead you inside one of the rooms to the left, which will have a bunch of enemies that you’ll need to defeat.
After the enemies are defeated, Jubilana will jump out of her hiding place and reveal herself to Hornet. After a short conversation, The Wandering Merchant quest will be completed, and Jubilana will head to Songclave to set up her shop.
Head back to Songclave, and you’ll find Jubilana to the right of the First Shrine in Silksong. Check out her offerings, and make sure to buy the Ascendant’s Grip (piton). This is one of the best traversal tools that you can equip to help you stick to walls indefinitely. It’s especially helpful when you’re platforming through a tricky area, and need to stick to a wall to plan your next movement.
