Summary

  • The Village Elm Bow is a cheap starter option, decent for Marksmanship training.
  • The Hazel Longbow offers great control, speed, and power for combat situations.
  • The Ash Longbow is the most powerful bow in the game, available in late-game in Kuttenberg.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, being good at Marksmanship does not always depend on skill. It also has to do with which bows players equip. And pinpointing the best bows in the game can be difficult, with so many weapons to pick from.

This list offers a selection of the finest bows in the game, considering damage, control, and tension speed. All of these ranged weapons will make life in Bohemia easier, considering that Henry has a lot of bandit hunting to do throughout his adventure. This list showcases the best weapons from the lowest tier to the most powerful bow in the game.

Updated September 9, 2025, by Lucas Simons: Fans of Ranyek’s Bow, should be happy as its reign of terror over the bandit population of Bohemia continues even during the Legacy of the Forge DLC. This DLC is more focused on Henry’s side job as a Blacksmith, and includes a full overhaul of the weapon crafting system. Sadly, bows seem to be left outside of this, and players can trust their favorite ranged weapons remain mostly untouched for the purposes of damage, draw speed, and combat viability. There have been a few tweaks that fans of Kingdom Come Deliverance II will be able to appreciate, including a more detailed overview of this fine selection of marksman tools.

Village Elm Bow

A Cheap Option For Beginners

Village Elm Bow KCD2

  • Power: 90
  • Strength Required: 0
  • Agility Required: 0
  • Draw Speed: 2.1 seconds

The humble Village Elm Bow has no stat requirements to equip and has moderate damage that can be slightly upgraded with proper arrows. This bow is pretty decent, more so than other lower-tier bows that don’t have enough control to be considered for this list.

It is cheap, reliable, and a good option for players who have just started training in marksmanship. It also has a pretty decent draw time, a hidden stat that players will learn to appreciate the more they train with the bow.

10

Ash Hunting Bow

Good For Poaching, Bad For Bandit Hunting

Ash Hunting Bow KCD2

  • Power: 110
  • Strength Required: 2
  • Agility Required: 2
  • Draw Speed: 2 seconds

The Ash Hunting Bow can be obtained by purchasing it from the Carpenter in Troskowitz. This bow is certainly better at damage, control, and draw time, but as the name implies, it is a bow designed to hunt game, not bandits. Players who are looking to use it for combat should change to a better bow soon if they want to thrive.

9

Master’s Hunting Bow

Fast And Deadly

Master's Hunting Bow KCD2

  • Power: 100
  • Strength Required: 0
  • Agility Required: 0
  • Draw Speed: 1.9 seconds

The Master’s Hunting Bow can be found by slaying bandits and poachers in Bohemia. Be it from random encounters or the Birds of Prey quest, players will soon stumble upon this weapon.

Its draw speed is surprisingly better than other bows on the list, but it has moderate firepower. One of the good things about its faster draw speed is that this makes it quite useful for combat situations. With this bow, players will soon master the art of archery.

8

Elm Hunting Bow

Power And Precision

Elm Hunting Bow Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

  • Power: 110
  • Strength Required: 2
  • Agility Required: 2
  • Draw Speed: 2.2 seconds

The Elm Hunting Bow is an improved version of the Ash Hunting Bow and comes with more firepower and a slightly slower draw speed. This extra 0.2 seconds to tense the string is fairly offset by more penetration power and control.

Players who want Henry to become a true Marksman and bandit hunter should get this weapon as soon as possible. One is available if they keep hunting the Poachers in the Trosky region, but a Quality III version of this bow is also available for purchase from the Huntmaster in Zhelejov.

7

Hazel Longbow

Great Control, Speed, And Power

Hazel Longbow Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

  • Power: 110
  • Strength Required: 2
  • Agility Required: 2
  • Draw Speed: 1.9 seconds

The Hazel Longbow is a combat bow optimized to knock and draw faster than other ranged weapons in the game. It also offers greater control and range than most hunting bows, meaning that projectiles will also have better piercing and power. It is a little expensive, but if players can afford it, they should buy this bow from the Carpenter in Troskowitz as soon as possible. They will have to level up Strength and Agility a bit before being able to use it, but the requirements are not so high.

6

Yew Hunting Bow

Great Tension Speed And Precision

Yew Hunting Bow Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

  • Power: 150
  • Strength Required: 6
  • Agility Required: 5
  • Draw Speed: 1.8 seconds

The Yew Hunting Bow is the most optimized Hunting Bow in the game, with faster draw speed, more power, and better precision. This bow is quite deadly if it is equipped with Precision Arrows or Hunting Arrows. It offers lots of great qualities, but its price is high, and finding a Quality III version can be tricky unless players hunt lots of bandits and trigger lots of random encounters. It also has moderate requirements to equip.

5

Dogwood Hunting Bow

Power And Precision

Dogwood Hunting Bow KCD2

  • Power: 160
  • Strength Required: 8
  • Agility Required: 7
  • Draw Speed: 2.2 seconds

The Dogwood Hunting Bow is the most powerful Hunting Bow in the game, with slightly more precision than others, but with a slower draw speed. The penetration power of this bow’s shots fairly compensates for its less attractive qualities. Players can obtain a Tier III version of this Bow early in the adventure by stealing it from the Bailiff’s chest in Troskowitz (if they have nimble fingers). However, Henry will have to train a bit to use it efficiently.

4

Hunting Bow From Hans Capon

Best Bow For Hunting Animals

Hunting Bow From Hans Capon KCD2

  • Power: 160
  • Strength Required: 4
  • Agility Required: 4
  • Draw Speed: 1.7 seconds

This adorned Hunting Bow can be obtained after saving Hans Capon (Again) from its captivity at Maleshov fortress during the Taking French Leave Main Quest. Players need to avoid knocking him down or forcing him to go through the secret tunnel, and instead, they need to take the classic escape route: Kill all the guards and open the fortress gates.

After rescuing him, there will be an ‘away time,’ on which players cannot find him anywhere, and they’ll need to complete three more Main Missions: The King’s Gambit, The Feast, and Exodus, before they meet Hans Capon back in The Devil’s Den. Once they met him, players can talk to him to receive this precious Hunting Bow, ‘borrowed’ from Margrave Jost’s armory. It kills nearly every animal in the game in one shot, especially when using Enhanced Hunting Arrows.

3

Elm Longbow

Good All-Rounder, But Only Available In Late Game

Elm Longbow Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

  • Power: 200
  • Strength Required: 13
  • Agility Required: 10
  • Draw Speed: 1.8 seconds

The Elm Longbow is one of the best Bows in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and it is a good all-rounder weapon with power, draw speed, control, and precision. The downside is that this weapon can only be obtained late in the game, when players travel to the second map. They can purchase it from Master Wenceslas, the huntmaster in southern Kuttenberg, making it a fairly powerful late-game weapon that all trained Marksmen should have.

2

Ranyek’s Bow

The Fastest Bow In The Game

Where to find Ranyek's Bow KCD2

  • Power: 200
  • Strength Required: 9
  • Agility Required: 9
  • Draw Speed: 1.5 seconds

This Longbow was the property of one of the Dry Devil’s associates, Ranyek, who spent his last hours alive trying to get away from gambling debts, and ended up dying in the worst possible way. If players want to claim this prized bow for themselves, they will have to get their hands dirty like never before: wading through a cesspool until they find Ranyek’s corpse as part of The Devil’s Pack quest. Simply grab Ranyek’s body from the muck, and toss him outside, then loot him to get this bow, and run away from the debt collectors to keep the weapon.

This bow is particularly fast and precise, ideal for sharpshooting. Equipped with Sharpshooting Arrows, it becomes lethal and powerful enough to down heavy armored enemies from a safe distance. Ideal for those quests where players need to defend fortresses and survive sieges.
