Marvel Rivals recently revealed that it will be changing the way Chrono Tokens are distributed to players throughout the course of a season, which has resulted in the developers removing daily missions and restructuring the way weekly challenges function. NetEase Games is currently preparing to release a major update for Marvel Rivals on July 11, launching a whole new season alongside several major changes being made to the popular hero shooter.
Season 3 of Marvel Rivals will add two new heroes to the title’s ever-expanding roster, starting with Phoenix on July 11. While officially known as Phoenix in the game, this character is modeled after the period of time when the mutant Jean Grey wielded the power of the Phoenix Force in the comics. Phoenix will make her debut as a ranged Duelist with the ability to deal a significant amount of damage to her foes on the battlefield. During a major mid-season update, Blade will be added to the game as another Duelist. While many players expect that the hero will be a melee-focused character, NetEase Games hasn’t released any official gameplay of Blade.

Marvel Rivals Is Removing Daily Missions
Hero-specific challenges have been a particular sore point for a large portion of the community, as many fans dislike having to play with a limited number of heroes in order to earn Chrono Tokens to progress Marvel Rivals‘ battle pass. The launch of Season 3 on July 11 will also introduce Milano Repair Logs challenges to the hero shooter, in which players will help the Guardians of the Galaxy fix their damaged ship. Completing the entire event will reward gamers with Marvel Rivals‘ free Symbiote Storm skin for the Duelist Storm. It’s a unique look for the hero modeled after her appearance in the Venomized Variant of the comic book X-Men Prime from 2017.
