With that, the base damage of Berserk Claw Strike and the percentage damage per attack that his ability causes at maximum Rage will be reduced. The devs have increased the cooldown time of Regenerative Healing Factor and increased the cooldown reduction that players get when they score an assist. Additionally, Wolverine’s team-up with Jean Grey will be nerfed, giving him less life steal. After revealing these adjustments, the Marvel Rivals community quickly expressed their opinions.

Others said the patch is in the right direction to adjust the mutant’s power, which most comments consider to be broken in Season 3. Another player praised the developers’ quick action, saying that Wolverine would be a bigger problem if he weren’t quickly nerfed.

That is not the first time Marvel Rivals has made a character too strong by giving them a new team-up. With the debut of The Fantastic Four, the Human Torch got a team-up with Storm that quickly drew attention for being very powerful. However, Marvel Rivals removed this team-up at the start of Season 3. As for Wolverine, players hope that these adjustments will make the character less oppressive, making matches less defined by whether he’s banned or picked.
