Marvel Rivals shared a new teaser that hints at the debut of Phoenix and the addition of a new Klyntar map. That is the latest, now official, evidence that Marvel Rivals is preparing to explore another well-known corner of Marvel Comics by adding new characters and maps to keep players engaged.

Marvel Rivals Season 0 revolved around Doctor Doom’s experiments and the creation of four Chronoverses, exploring the concept of the Multiverse that is so famous among Marvel fans. At the start of Season 1, players saw Dracula, the famous villain of the Marvel Universe, take power from Chronovium, and the long-awaited addition of The Fantastic Four. The second season of NetEase’s shooter delved into another beloved part of comic book history, with the Hellfire Gala as its theme. Now Marvel Rivals players are gearing up for what is coming next, and a new post has given a big hint.

On Twitter, the official Marvel Rivals profile posted a teaser indicating the addition of Phoenix and a Klyntar map in Season 3. With the caption “Klyntar is about to ignite,” the seven-second video shows a golden egg that attentive Marvel Rivals players noticed to be the Phoenix Egg. In the comics, the Phoenix Egg is where the Phoenix Force is reborn every time it is destroyed. The Phoenix has had several hosts over the years, with Jean Grey becoming one of the most famous. She is also one of the characters expected for Marvel Rivals Season 3.

Mysterious Teaser Points to Phoenix’s Debut in Marvel Rivals

Regarding the new Klyntar map that players can expect, a previously published rumor suggests that it should be available in Domination mode. Marvel Rivals already has a map based on the symbiote planet, but this one is a Convergence mode map. The arrival of a new Klyntar map is in line with speculation that the prison planet of supervillain Knull will be the theme of Season 3, which was recently reinforced with the announcement of new Marvel Rivals skins.

In addition to the debut of Phoenix and the Klyntar map, Marvel Rivals is expected to finally add Blade as one of the Season 3 characters. The famous vampire hunter made an appearance in Season 1 when he was captured and imprisoned by Dracula, and since then, several pieces of evidence about his existence in the game have been found. With the recent leak that revealed Blade’s abilities in Marvel Rivals, coupled with the new teaser, players hope that it won’t be long before the developers make an official announcement about the third season.
