Description

The world of The Incredibles is filled with Disney/Pixar’s most creative superpowered heroes, allowing for an assortment of do-gooders to flourish in a world that doesn’t particularly want them anymore. Across both The Incredibles movies, and hopefully in the announced The Incredibles 3, there’s great potential for super-powered antics in a sequel.

While outside of the Parr family is limited in terms of heroes, it’s time to look back at the glory days to see the most powerful of superheroes that lived back when being super wasn’t outlawed.

10

Brick

The Size and Strength of a Brick Wall

  • Powers: Super Strength, Super Durability, Metamorphosis

Brick’s powers involve metamorphosis that allows her to showcase her extreme muscle and mass, and expand it even further beyond to become that of a brick wall with ease. Brick’s talents with bricks make her incredibly strong, durable, and someone who could give Mr. Incredible a good arm wrestle.

Whilst Brick’s display of powers is never shown to their full extent, under mind control, she is still pretty strong. However, what lets Brick down is her limited intellect, and it’s not easy to beat Brick considering she has an overwhelming fear of learning how to swim.

9

Krushauer

Can Crush Things With His Mind and Fists

  • Powers: Telekinesis, Super Strength, Super Durability

Krushauer has a lot of potential to be super, as his powers will aid him in the fight against tyranny, and even for civil servitude. Krushauer is good at crushing things, and he can use telekinesis to do so, showcasing a strong mind.

Yet, it’s not just a brain over others that can crush things, as Krushauer is also physically strong, and as a hulking super, he can definitely hold his own in a bout, it’s just unfortunate it hasn’t been seen to the fullest extent possible due to mind control.

8

Dash

The Fastest Boy Alive, and a Showoff

  • Powers: Super Speed, Super Reflexes, Super Agility

Dash is the middle child of Bob and Helen Parr, which probably explains his competitive attitude and penchant for mischief. Regardless of his home life, Dash has dreamed of showing off his powers and the talents that make him super. Dash is incredibly fast, and sometimes too fast to see, leading to some unsavory pranks on teachers and adults.

Every Pixar movie has well-crafted performances that add to the thrill and emotion, and here are some of the best from the past 28 years.

Dash’s speed allows him to literally run on water, and it’s been useful for evading those who want to hurt him and his family. Whilst fast, Dash doesn’t have the hardest punch, but thanks to his quick speed, agility, and reflexes, he can throw an army of punches before his enemy even gets in one.

7

Violet

Durable Force Field Projections and Invisibility

  • Powers: Invisibility, Force Field Generation

Violet’s powers reflect her personality, as the often shy and oldest daughter of Helen and Bob Parr exhibits well-trained powers of invisibility and force field projections. Violet’s invisibility might not make her the hardest hitter in a fight, but it will make her one that opponents cannot see, leading to espionage and grand escapes.

Invisibility is a great power for messing with people, but Violet’s force fields are where she comes in clutch. Her force fields are impenetrable, and she can whip them up quick enough for Dash to collide straight into them. These force fields are also capable of stopping incredible hits and explosives.

6

Gazerbeam

A Hero with Optical Lenses and a Serious Tone Who Gave His Life to Stop Syndrome

gazerbeam

Gazerbeam might not have been the most interesting of people to walk the Earth, but he was still a good man. The man behind the mask was still a hero, spending his time as an activist to stand up for the rights of supers. In his costume, Gazerbeam shined, with his intellect and elusive nature making him a key hero to save the day. Paired with his Optical Lasers, Gazerbeam was able to shoot intense heat from his eyes that could be focused for even more power.

Gazerbeam’s strength and love of supers made him the perfect candidate for Syndrome’s testing of the Omnidroid, and while he lost in the end, Gazerbeam proved that he was still pretty strong by escaping before succumbing to his injuries. Without Gazerbeam’s intellect, quick wit, and Optical Lenses, it’s unlikely that Mr. Incredible would’ve been able to avenge him, thanks to his dying words being left on the wall of a cave, KRONOS, to leave an important password behind to one day stop Syndrome.

5

Frozone

Amazing Cryokinetic Powers That Require Just a Drop of Water

  • Powers: Cryokinesis, Cold Immunity

Frozone’s powers and personality are the epitome of cool, and even when superheroes were outlawed, it didn’t stop him from becoming a vigilante and doing the right thing. Frozone is a veteran of the superhero game, and even years out of commission, he still comes back with his super suit (when his wife isn’t hiding it) to save the day once more.

Frozone’s powers allow him to manipulate water and turn it into ice, and he can subdue foes with his freezing powers, but he also has a pretty harsh weakness, as when there is no humidity, fire, or a complete lack of water, he can’t activate them.

4

Elastigirl

Invincible Expanding Elasticity at the Top of Her Game

  • Powers: Elasticity, Shapeshifting, Super Durability

Elastigirl was one of the most prominent and competitive heroes of the glory days, and her resilience and powers proved just how capable and proud she was to be a hero. Now in the modern world where heroes are rejected, Elastigirl continues to use her powers to prove the potential of heroes of a new age, and even with her years without the super suit, she’s shown how heroics never left her.

Elastigirl is a super mom and a superhero all in the same, and juggles the dual-life well. Her powers of elasticity allow her to shapeshift and become incredibly durable, and also manipulate her density. Elastigirl can subdue strong beings with her elastic powers and stretch to incredible degrees.

Near Limitless Powers for the Super Who Loves Helping People

meta-man

  • Powers: Flight, Super Strength, Teleportation, Sonic Scream, X-Ray Vision

Meta Man is a name that many might not have heard of, and there’s a reason for that. His only mention in the series is in a set of embarrassing flashbacks from Edna describing why no super shall have a cape designed by her. Meta Man’s cape was snagged on an elevator shaft he was holding up, thus making him fall to his death.

Despite having basically every power, it’s ironic that Meta Man didn’t have invulnerability, or the foresight to see why capes were such a bad idea. Regardless, Meta Man was incredibly powerful, but the lack of invulnerability does make him a glass cannon of sorts.

2

Mr. Incredible

Unparalleled Strength and Invulnerability Make Mr. Incredible the Best There Is

  • Powers: Super Strength, Invulnerability, Enhanced Senses

Mister Incredible is the pinnacle of superheroes. He loves to save people, and his dream of saving the world is admirable, even if it is his flaw, as it interferes with the love he has for his family. Mr. Incredible is the pinnacle of heroes, and he will do what he must to save anyone, no matter the risk that comes with it to himself.

Mr. Incredible always throws himself in front of danger, and that confidence isn’t just because he’s a good person, but the fact that he has enhanced speed, agility, endurance, as well as the most incredible superhuman strength and durability that has allowed him to go beyond what other heroes might think is possible.

1

Jack-Jack

An Infinite and Invulnerable Amount of Powers

Jack-Jack is the youngest child of Helen and Bob Parr, and as their baby, they wouldn’t expect him to have an assortment of abilities. Jack-Jack is a baby, so he doesn’t exactly have the best control of his powers. Yet, that doesn’t stop him from being the strongest there is, as his powers seem endless and infinitely creative, allowing him to become invincible and incredible.

Whether it’s self-duplication, shapeshifting, laser vision, flight, or more, Jack-Jack is pretty unbeatable, even if he doesn’t really know what he’s doing or how to control his powers without the influence of a cookie. Jack-Jack’s future is bright thanks to his powers and a world that is slowly becoming accepting of heroes.

The Incredibles 3 is in the works from Pixar and is scheduled to release in 2028.
