With the eighth and final season of My Hero Academia looming on the horizon, there are many characters that fans are eager to see play their part in taking down All For One and Shigaraki in the Final War. By this point, though, the anime only has a few manga chapters left to adapt, and with most of the heroes already down for the count, there are only a handful of characters who still possess the energy and grit to keep going, though there is one hero in particular who will be enjoying a triumphant comeback for the final season.
Considering how immensely powerful All For One has become, the heroes need everyone on deck to deal any kind of significant damage to him, but thankfully, it looks like they might have just found their ace in the whole. Anyone who has read theMy Hero Academia manga will know all too well that the anime fans have a lot to look forward to for the final season, especially if they are a big fan of one specific legendary hero who will be making a triumphant last stand to keep the world safe from evil.
All Might Has One Final Shot To Stop All For One In His Tracks
“I’m Here”
Though All Might started off the series as the most powerful hero alive, it wouldn’t be long before he would eventually end up losing his Quirk, and ultimately all of his strength, due to passing it on to Deku. This has made All Might somewhat of a side character for a good chunk of the series, acting as a vocal coach for Deku who is restricted to cheering on from the sidelines, but while many fans presumed that they would never be able to see him back in action, the good news is, he’s got one final shot to make things right.
At the end of season 7, fans were treated to a glimpse at All Might’s brand-new support gear, which he is directly connected to his car, Hercules. By wrapping it around his body and turning himself into a giant mechanized titan, the former number one hero assumes the form of Armored All Might, who’s equipped with an army’s worth of deadly weapons and gadgets, many of which are based on the Quirks of Deku and his classmates.
While small flashes of the beginning of this fight were shown in the last episode, All Might still has a lot left in the tank, as was made evident when he started laughing maniacally at the thought of finally being able to help others in need. While All Might would have stood no chance against his arch rival in his base form, his highly advanced support gear at least gives him a fighting chance, and it’s fair to say he’ll be giving this clash his all considering how much history he has with his opponent.
All Might And All For One’s Heated Rivalry
This Fight Will Close The Book On The Heated Feud Between Hero And Villain
The main reason All Might was so eager to confront All For One in the Final War as soon as he could was because the two have shared a burning hatred for one another for essentially their entire lives. Not only was All For One the villain who pushed All Might to his limits early on in the story, forcing him to give up the final embers of his Quirk in the process, but he is also responsible for killing All Might’s mentor Nana, which has always left a mental scar on the number one hero’s psyche.
More recently in the story, Gran Torino, another one of All Might’s closest allies, was almost crushed to death by Shigaraki, who has been heavily influenced by All For One for much of the story. Seeing Shigaraki turn into such a diabolical monster at the hands of his new master is something that clearly makes All Might’s blood boil, considering he doesn’t want to be the same kind of hideous teacher to his own student.
Despite being able to take down most villains in mere seconds while he was in his prime, All For One is someone that All Might has always struggled to take down. This is completely understandable when considering All For One is able to use multiple Quirks at once, and, as has been shown in the Final War, this can make him pretty much untouchable because of his varied mix of dangerous abilities.
Does All Might Stand A Chance Against All For One?
All Might May Have Bitten Off More Than He Can Chew
The only reason All Might is able to even partake in the Final War as a combatant is all thanks to his Support Gear, but this does beg the question of whether this will even be enough to stop All For One, now that he’s become so overpowered. Thankfully, because All For One has already accumulated a ton of damage from the other heroes, it means that he is rewinding the state of his body much faster than he had intended, to the point where he’s essentially become a young boy by the time that All Might begins their battle.
This does at least give All Might a fighting chance, even though his suit is already pretty busted up. The world’s most well-known hero will need to be lightning fast on his feet to avoid getting skewered by All For One’s arsenal of projectiles, but since it’s inevitable that he will be taking a few hits along the way, he also needs to hope and pray that Hercules can sustain enough damage until the fight is finally over.
All Might may no longer have his overwhelming raw strength to back him up, but he does still technically have an ensemble of Quirk abilities built into the suit which he can throw out any time he needs to. On the other hand, if All Might were to fail here, it’s highly unlikely that All For One would decide to keep him alive, considering he’s been dreaming of killing All Might for many years now. Needless to say, while it’ll be an absolute blast to see the Quirkless hero back in action for a final showdown, the results of this climactic battle will have massive consequences, not just on Japan, but on the world at large, and could even decide the fate of the entire War.
