The heightened player count for No Man’s Sky was tallied following the Voyagers content update that launched on August 27, which introduced Corvette ships that players can build and customize to their liking.

The peak player count is the third-highest concurrent player total for No Man’s Sky since its 2016 release, which boasted a tally of 212,604 Steam players. The next-highest peak following No Man’s Sky‘s launch was in 2018, following the NEXT content update, where the concurrent player count stood as high as 97,723. Before the Voyagers content update went live on August 27, the player count on Steam for No Man’s Sky bounced between 5,000 and 10,000 on average for most of the month.
