Critical Role will broadcast the Jester and Fjord wedding live show at select Cinemark, AMC, and Regal theaters across the US and Canada on October 15 at 7 PM local time. Fans lucky enough to be near participating locations can watch this highly anticipated Dungeons and Dragons live show before the VoD is shared with the public.
The Mighty Nein of Campaign 2 are particularly beloved by the Critical Role community, but among them, Jester and Fjord are two of the most popular characters in the entire series. Played by Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham, who are married in real life, the characters fell in love during the course of the campaign, with Fjord proposing to Jester during “The Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes of the Solstice” live show from London that aired in September 2023.
Critical Role’s Jester and Fjord Wedding Live Show Coming to Theaters

The wedding itself will take place during an upcoming live show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and Critters who can’t attend won’t have to wait long to see it for themselves. On October 15 at 7 PM local time, select AMC, Cinemark, and Regal theaters in the United States and Canada will be playing the five-hour live show for the public. Those unable to catch one of these events will have to wait for the currently-unannounced public broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, and Critical Role’s Beacon streaming service.
Hilariously, this isn’t the first time Critical Role has done a special show involving a wedding between two characters. In 2019, Vex’ahlia, also played by Bailey, and Taliesin Jaffe’s Percival from Critical Role Campaign 1’s Vox Machina tied the knot in the “Dalen’s Closet” one-shot, during which they confronted a dangerous villain from their past. The Jester Fjord wedding, however, will take place in front of a live audience, unlike “Dalen’s Closet.”
Critters in New York City can get into the spirit of the wedding by visiting a physical “Ties-the-Knot Pop-Up Shop” that will open at Shopify New York on October 3–5 from 11 AM to 7 PM ET. Fans can pick up exclusive keepsakes and limited-edition memorabilia made to celebrate the bond between the beloved Dungeons and Dragons characters.
Campaign 4, which will feature new Critical Role DM Brennan Lee Mulligan and 13 players, also begins airing weekly on Thursdays starting October 2. Then, the Mighty Nein animated series kicks off on Amazon Prime starting November 19. Needless to say, the rest of the year is going to be exciting for Critical Role.
