Pokemon TCG Live Is Giving Players Two Full Decks for Free

Pokemon TCG Live is giving out two decks focused around a pair of powerful new Pokemon with its newest Battle Pass, welcoming the Mega Evolution expansion to the game. The massively popular trading card game is gearing up for some major changes with its next set, ushering in a new era for Pokemon fans. The Pokemon TCG and Pokemon TCG Live‘s Mega Evolution expansion will welcome the return of Mega Pokemon to the game for the first time since the X & Y era. Now, fans will get a special chance to try out some new Mega Pokemon.

Mega Evolution is set to introduce a plethora of powerful new Mega Pokemon to the TCG, showing off an early look at some of the featured creatures. Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex serve as the set’s big headliners, while The Pokemon Company would later reveal Mega forms for Venusaur, Mawile, and Latios among others. Mega Pokemon will also serve a unique role in the game, acting as more powerful versions of “ex” Pokemon granting three Prize Cards when knocked out. Now, Pokemon TCG Live is giving out a pair of free Mega Pokemon decks.

Pokemon TCG Live‘s newest Battle Pass will give fans the chance to pick up two free Mega Pokemon decks, just for playing during the Mega Evolution cycle. Fans will receive a deck built around Mega Lucario ex just for starting the Battle Pass, including powerful new Pokemon like the “Solrock” and “Lunatone” combo and the new “Lillie’s Determination” Supporter. Halfway through the Battle Pass, players will also receive a Mega Gardevoir ex, themed around the already popular Gardevoir strategy. Players will be able to earn the decks completely for free, unlocked by progressing in the Battle Pass.

One of Pokemon TCG Live‘s free decks will give players an easy way to pick up one of Pokemon‘s most powerful decks. Gardevoir ex has been a dominant strategy since the titular card’s release in Scarlet and Violet, regularly seeing high-placing finishes at major tournaments. The Pokemon TCG‘s 2025 World Championships also saw heavy representation from the Psychic Pokemon-focused deck, with a Gardevoir ex deck even winning the entire tournament.

Pokemon fans should have lots to look forward to from the TCG beyond the dawn of the game’s “Mega Evolution” era. The Pokemon Company has already begun to tease the next new set after Mega Evolution, with “Phantasmal Flames” featuring Charizard as its main highlight. The TCG’s new era is also introducing a brand-new type of rarity for some of its cards, with the “Mega Attack Rarity” featuring flashy attack names over stylized full-art cards.
