Pokemon TCG Pocket Leaks 12 Cards from the Secluded Springs Expansion
Description
The Pokemon TCG Pocket team has leaked the entire trailer for the upcoming Secluded Springs expansion, revealing a dozen new cards. Just hours earlier, Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Google Play and App Store pages accidentally posted about the then-nameless A4a set, giving away its release date and featured Pokemon.
It was already known that Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s next set would focus on the Trio of Sacred Legends: Suicune, Entei, and Raikou. An earlier artwork leak had already showcased the three, with Suicune in the middle, hinting at its role as the set’s face. Now, even more Pokemon from the A4a miniset have been leaked.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Cards from Next Expansion Leak
It appears that the official Korean Pokemon channel on YouTube accidentally published A4a’s teaser trailer, which resulted in 12 new cards being leaked. The video has since been taken down, but fans can still catch a glimpse of the characters on some unofficial channels covering the game. Titled Secluded Springs, the A4a set appears to include some interesting cards, such as the legendary beasts, each with a card-draw ability—if the translations are accurate.
All Pokemon TCG Pocket Cards Leaked from the Secluded Springs Set
- Suicune EX
- Entei EX
- Raikou EX
- Mantyke
- Slowking
- Milotic
- Latios
- Latias
- Phanpy
- Slugma
- Stunfisk
- Traveling Merchant (Supporter)
Fans are divided on how Suicune, Entei, and Raikou will function, as their abilities seem confusing. According to translations, all three cards let the player draw a card from their deck. What’s unclear is whether this ability activates from the Bench or only when the Pokemon is in the Active Spot. If it works from the Bench, the legendary beasts could easily become staples in most decks within Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s metagame.
As expected, Latios and Latias have interconnected abilities that strengthen each other when both are on the board. There also appears to be a new Supporter, likely called the Traveling Merchant, which lets the player draw a Pokemon Tool from the deck. Another highlight of Secluded Springs is Mantyke, a new baby critter believed to be a ramp card for Water-types, as it can generate Water Energy and attach it to a Basic character of the same type.
However, it’s worth noting that these card abilities were roughly translated using online tools and may be inaccurate. As with previous Pokemon TCG Pocket leaks, current speculation could turn out to be completely wrong or misleading. The good news is that the A4a teaser trailer will likely be officially published on August 22 or 23, so non-Korean fans won’t have to wait long to see what’s in the booster packs.
