The PlayStation Plus titles for September across all three tiers of Sony’s monthly subscription service are now available. PlayStation Plus‘ inclusions for the past few months have received a generally warmer reception than those of some from earlier in the year. Particularly, games like Lies of P, Stardew Valley, and Sword of the Sea have given PS+ members good reason to celebrate. And as the month is more than half over with October’s announcements soon to come, it’s time to muse about what the upcoming lineup could look like.
September’s PS Plus picks included a couple of great indie horror games, and a natural next step for October would be a more blockbuster title within the genre. Supermassive’s original Until Dawn is the entry that started the studio down the road on its narrative-centric psychological thriller/horror experiences. With the Halloween season soon to be in full swing and Until Dawn Remake previously rumored to come to PS Plus, as well as leaks suggesting a potential sequel, the updated and polished version of the 2015 classic would be an excellent choice.
PS Plus October 2025 Wish List: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
Ninja Theory’s lauded second entry in its third-person action adventure series features impressive production values and visuals, and sends players on another intensely personal journey brought to life by actor Melina Jürgens’ incredibly emotional performance. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is also published by Xbox Game Studios and was on Game Pass at launch. But as PlayStation Plus has been adding more games that were previously Microsoft properties, Hellblade 2 hitting the service would be both a welcome continuation of this trend and a fitting inclusion for the scary season.
PS Plus October 2025 Wish List: Terminator: Resistance
Developer Teyon has carved out a bit of a niche for itself in the AA space, specializing in adapting games based on popular classic action movies. Though the first of these, Rambo: The Video Game, was a bit rough around the edges, Terminator: Resistance was a big leap forward. It tells an original story set 30 years after the iconic Judgment Day. Resistance introduces a new character, putting fans in the role of Private Jacob Rivers, a member of John Connor’s forces, as he joins the battle against Skynet’s relentless machines.
Teyon’s latest title, RoboCop: Rogue City, was on PS Plus back in April, with the Unfinished Business DLC releasing in July. The upcoming retro shooter, Terminator 2D: No Fate, is also releasing right at the end of October, and Terminator: Resistance coming to PS Plus before then would be fantastic for fans of the franchise and FPS games in general.

October 2025 Wish List For PS Plus Extra and Premium
Helldivers– While it was on PS Plus back in 2016 and is a much different genre than the massively popular sequel, after nearly 10 years and with Helldivers 2 momentum still going strong, the first entry coming to PS Plus again would give more players a chance to see the franchise’s origins and try their hand at its intense twin-stick shooting gameplay.
Silent Hill 2 Remake– Bloober Team’s take on the 2001 classic brought the seminal entry into the modern era and was embraced by many new and returning fans. Including it on one of the higher tiers close to a year after its launch would be a nice way to bring things full circle, especially as the next new entry, Silent Hill f, releases on September 25.
Nine Sols– Though Hollow Knight: Silksong is currently dominating the conversation around the genre, Nine Sols is one of the most recent and best overlooked 2-D Soulslike Metroidvanias, offering a similarly satisfying experience and striking art style.
Rule of Rose: Though it never achieved the recognition of Silent Hill, Rule of Rose is a psychological survival horror cult classic that continues to be discovered, and would be well-served by coming to PS Plus.
Pentiment– Obsidian Entertainment’s experimental narrative adventure title, Pentiment offers a unique take on historical fiction through its engaging mystery tale and choice and skill-based mechanics.
Firewatch– One of the most celebrated first-person narrative exploration titles, Firewatch features some of the best writing and character work in the genre. With a cozier setting and vibes to match, it would round out October’s PS Plus picks perfectly.
