Gears of War: Reloaded players are having a serious issue earning achievement and trophy progress when partied up with friends in multiplayer. The unfixed problem is something that achievement hunters need to be aware of when playing Gears of War: Reloaded.
Considering how faithful Gears of War: Reloaded is to the original game and its first 2015 remaster, it’s surprising that this issue has popped up this time around. There are no fundamental changes made to the game, although it’s always impossible to say what has been changed under the hood. Still, it’s disappointing to see new issues crop up for a game that had its original release almost 19 years ago.
Gears of War: Reloaded Players in Parties Aren’t Earning Trophy and Achievement Progress
As spotted on numerous Reddit threads and Steam Community discussions on the topic, Gears of War: Reloaded multiplayer players have noticed that achievement and trophy progress isn’t moving when partied up with friends on all platforms. Bizarrely, the host of the lobby is still getting the achievement progress, but everyone else is left behind. This is particularly annoying for grindy achievements like the iconic “Seriously…” which requires players to kill a whopping 10,000 enemies in multiplayer.
It’s worth remembering that this is Gears of War‘s debut on PlayStation, so it needs to leave a positive impression on gamers going forward. It’s rumored that there are more Gears of War games planned for PlayStation in the future, so it’s a shame that it’s plagued by this new problem, even if it won’t be a massive issue for gamers who aren’t particularly trophy-focused.
In the days following its release, Gears of War: Reloaded players have not been shy in sharing their criticisms of the remastered title. While it has largely been well-received by the community, there are still a few issues here and there. Hopefully, in the coming weeks and months, The Coalition will take the time to iron out the bugs in post-launch updates.
