Description

My Hero Academia was a social phenomenon for years. Fans were obsessed with this series, but just like everything else, it eventually came to an end. Horikoshi, the creator of MHA, concluded the manga in late 2024. Fans knew it was coming, but it still hit very hard, despite many having issues with the ending. Nevertheless, after that, fans did get more content from the author, such as the fanbook, among other things, but now, the series is officially over. It’s unlikely that Horikoshi will ever drop anything major for MHA, and all this has now officially been confirmed as he has decided to start a new manga. Once Horikoshi’s new manga begins serialization, fans will have to say goodbye to My Hero Academia forever.

  • Horikoshi Has Released the Last of the Extra Content
  • Fans Only Have the Anime To Look Forward To

My Hero Academia was one of the biggest shonen series of its decade. The series is so big it even broke 100 million sales worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series ever. Nevertheless, MHA reached its conclusion after the intense battle featuring Deku and Shigaraki.

The story ended, but some questions remained unanswered, and fans wanted to know more about what happened after the war. Horikoshi did deliver on that with a new fan book, an art book, a one-shot, an extra chapter, and even an art exhibition, leaving everyone satisfied. These brought a lot of answers to fans, and revealed major bits of information, such as the romance between Izuku and Ochaco, as well as new hero rankings. While all this was great, it was the last information fans will ever get concerning the series. Horikoshi wants to move on from MHA.

MHA is Horikoshi’s biggest success, one he found after a series of axed projects. Horikoshi, now done with MHA, wants to start a new manga. Fans don’t know much about what he’s planning, but one thing is for sure, it’s not going to have anything to do with MHA. This manga will be a fresh start, and one many MHA fans will tag along on when it finally drops.

Question: Are you considering doing another manga?

Horikoshi: Yes, I’m already in the concept stage. Luckily, there is something I still want to do that I couldn’t do with MHA, so I’m hoping to channel that feeling into this. When I announce my next series, I hope it will be in Weekly Shonen Jump. So, I’m working on the concept now, thinking about how I want to challenge myself to Jump one more time.

Of course, once this manga begins, Horikoshi won’t have the time to work on My Hero Academia anymore. Whatever events he held this year would be impossible to do again, and that would effectively drop the curtain on one of the most popular series of all time.

The My Hero Academia manga was concluded. The story features 431 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus. When it comes to the anime, this series is still awaiting its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.
