Schedule 1 developer TVGS has taken to social media to showcase the next major feature coming to the smash-hit indie game. After a few short delays, TVGS finally released the big Cartel update for Schedule 1 on August 13. Although the patch is currently only available via the game’s Steam beta branch, players can finally jump into tons of new content. As promised, the update adds a new rival cartel gang known as the Benzies family. Once players progress past a certain point in Schedule 1, they will encounter the Benzies family, as well as plenty of new features, such as ambushes, dead-drop theft, dealer robbings, the ability to deal with the cartel while under a truce, and more.

Schedule 1 Is Adding Graffiti in Its Next Update

With the Cartel update now out of the way, it looks like TVGS is already hard at work on yet another new Schedule 1 update. In a new post on Tyler’s Twitter account, the developer published a short clip of the new graffiti feature in action. While it is aiming to launch as part of the game’s next beta update, Tyler did admit that it could slip into “the one after that.” A timeline for when the update will be released wasn’t shared, but given that the Cartel update has only just been released, fans may have to wait a few more weeks to get their hands on the new graffiti feature.

Despite the fact that Schedule 1 continues to be worked on by a single developer, the future is looking bright for one of 2025’s breakout hits. Tyler has already revealed his big plans for Schedule 1, which include some major map expansions, Steam Deck support, and a console release for later this year. It’s unclear which consoles Schedule 1 will be released on, but Tyler says he has been working on porting the smash-hit title to consoles alongside support for the Steam Deck.

While Schedule 1 is undoubtedly one of 2025’s biggest releases, it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses for the indie title. Shortly after the game’s release on Steam, publisher Movie Games S.A. revealed it was investigating Schedule 1 for potential copyright infringement. Nothing seems to have come from the investigation as of yet, but the studio said it believed Schedule 1 has used elements from Drug Deal Simulator, such as its plot, gameplay mechanics, and user interface.
