A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing the gameplay for upcoming playable character Cyrene, with the character said to act as a support for Amphoreus’ Chrysos Heirs. The fourth fully playable world added to the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG has brought plenty of unique and game-changing characters to the roster throughout its several updates. Characters like Castorice, The Herta, and Phainon have turned the game’s meta on its head, while HoYoverse also welcomed Honkai: Star Rail‘s first crossover characters in Archer and Saber. Now, Star Rail is teasing one of its next playable characters.
With Honkai: Star Rail beginning to wind down the story of Amphoreus as a whole, the lineup of exciting characters has not stopped with lots of major releases. HoYoverse previously confirmed the two characters releasing during the upcoming Version 3.6 update, with Evernight and Permansor Terrae joining as new variants of past characters. Version 3.5 also introduced a pair of new Chrysos Heirs from Amphoreus, adding Cerydra and Hysilens to the playable roster. A new leak is now teasing one of the last remaining Chrysos Heirs to become playable.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Cyrene Gameplay
A recent post shared by HoYoverse leaker Anon Leaks is providing more details about how rumored character Cyrene will play in Honkai: Star Rail. The leak suggests that Cyrene will debut as a support character within Honkai: Star Rail focused around her HP as the main stat players shoudl build. Cyrene is said to be exclusively focused on supporting Amphoreus’ cast of Chrysos Heir characters, even stating she likely can’t be used in non-Chrysos Heir teams. The leak does not share any specifics about how she will support the Chrysos Heirs in-game.
Cyrene’s potential status as a Chrysos Heir-exclusive support would still give her plenty of options for her teams. Several of Honkai: Star Rail‘s current strongest characters come from the Amphoreus cast, including the previously-mentioned Phainon and Cerydra among others. Her focus around building HP could also work particularly well with one of the game’s most powerful Chrysos Heirs, with Castorice needing to drain her allies’ HP in order to strengthen her own attacks. Cyrene is currently expected to launch with Version 3.7, releasing on November 5.
Cyrene’s debut in Honkai: Star Rail will follow a jam-packed patch set to be filled with plenty of major new content for the RPG. Players will have the chance to pick up one of the game’s newest characters for free during the update, with all Star Rail players being given a free copy of Permansor Terrae following his release in the second half. The update will also introduce a brand-new endgame game mode, with the new “Anomaly Arbitration” mode set to be one of Star Rail‘s hardest challenges. Honkai: Star Rail fans should have lots to be excited about as HoYoverse nears the end of the Amphoreus cycle.
