Description

The new Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc is right around the corner. It will be a direct sequel to the latest season of Chainsaw Man. There will be some familiar faces in this arc, but most of the major players here are new faces that haven’t appeared in the series before or only had a brief screen time in the previous season.

Out of every notable character that will appear in the upcoming Reze arc, also known as the Bomb Girl arc, this list will focus solely on the ones who can cause an untold amount of pain and destruction. So with that in mind, here are the strongest characters in Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc.

Shark Fiend

A Loyal and Carefree Fighter

  • Allegiance: Public Safety Devil Hunter
  • First Appearance: Chapter 34
  • Species: Fiend

Beam the Shark Fiend is one of the members of the Special Division 4 of the Tokyo Public Safety Devil Hunter. He is a cheerful and happy-go-lucky fiend who will gladly do anything that Makima tells him to. As it happened, Beam is a big fan of Chainsaw Man and considers him a role model.

As a Shark Fiend, Beam’s greatest power is a set of razor-sharp teeth in his mouth that can rip everything to shreds in the blink of an eye, and his ability to dive and swim on any surface. This makes him the perfect candidate for launching a surprise attack. In the Reze arc, however, Beam’s role is to be the sidekick of the Chainsaw Man in his fight against the Bomb Girl.

Violence Fiend

A Strong and Ruthless Martial Artist

Chainsaw Man Violence Fiend

  • Allegiance: Public Safety Devil Hunter
  • First Appearance: Chapter 34
  • Species: Fiend

Out of every fiend and devil hybrids in the series, the Violence Fiend is quite possibly the most unassuming one. He rarely talks, and he always covers himself with a hoodie and a mask. Even his fighting style seems quite bland and unimpressive. After all, in a world where people fight with chainsaws and assault rifles sprouting from their arms, bare-handed close-quarters combat feels almost boring by comparison.

That being said, it doesn’t mean the Violence Fiend is weak. On the contrary, his attacks are quite devastating. As the embodiment of violence, he can freely increase his muscle mass, which greatly enhances his strength. When he uses his power, a single punch or kick is all it takes for the Violence Fiend to pulverize his opponents.

Typhoon Devil

A Destructive and Merciless Devil

Chainsaw Man Typhoon Devil

  • Allegiance: Lady Reze
  • First Appearance: Chapter 49
  • Species: Devil

The Typhoon Devil is one of the few devil that represents the fear of a natural disaster. As such, it is undoubtedly a powerful and dangerous devil. And since this devil is based on a typhoon, it is capable of causing large-scale damage in a matter of minutes. Mass destruction and massive loss of life are nothing more than a pleasant stroll for this devil.

While that ability alone already makes Typhoon Devil incredibly powerful, what makes this devil even more dangerous is the fact that it can affect the surrounding weather. From producing a gentle breeze with a slight increase of moisture in the air to causing a full-blown thunderstorm, this devil can influence countless lives without anyone even realizing it.

Angel Devil

A Calm and Pessimistic Agent of Death

Angel Devil's Life-Shortening Touch From Chainsaw Man

  • Allegiance: Public Safety Devil Hunter
  • First Appearance:
  • Species: Devil

If Typhoon Devil is all about over-the-top destruction and indiscriminate killings, Angel Devil prefers quiet and painless death. Appearance-wise, this devil looks like an introverted young man who prefers to spend his time lazing in his bedroom rather than going to work. But there is actually a reason why he dislikes being around others, and it has to do with his terrifying power.

The Angel Devil can drain the life of anyone he touches. The longer he touches someone, the more lifespan he gets to siphon from that person. Aki Hayakawa grabbed Angel’s hand for a couple of minutes, and he lost about two months’ worth of his lifespan. Furthermore, he can turn the lifespan that he has collected into weapons. The more lifespan he uses, the stronger the weapons become. For example, he once used five years’ worth of lifespan to create a sword that can cut almost anything it touches. So as you can see, not only is he dangerous, but he is also really tricky to deal with.

Chainsaw Man

A Chaotic and Unpredictable Madman

Chainsaw Man - Denji Riding The Shark Fiend Into Battle

  • Allegiance: Public Safety Devil Hunter
  • First Appearance: Chapter 1
  • Species: Hybrid

While the Typhoon Devil and Angel Devil may seem like such powerful devils, he is still no match against the main character of the story, the maniacal Chainsaw Man. But then you might ask: Is a devil-human hybrid with chainsaws for arms powerful enough to go against the literal embodiment of a natural disaster and somebody who possesses a literal touch of death? And the answer is yes, but it’s actually a bit more complicated than you might think.

You see, while it’s true that Chainsaw Man possesses inhuman strength and an insatiable thirst for violence, that is not where his true strength lies. The ultimate source of Chainsaw Man’s power is actually his unpredictability. Nobody can guess what he’s going to do next. From using the Shark Devil as a surfboard to ride the wind, to using his chains to drag his enemy down, to sacrificing half of his body to deliver the final blow, Chainsaw Man is the embodiment of chaos and lunacy. He is somebody who will keep stubbornly coming back to life and attack you, no matter how many times you pulverize his body. It’s nearly impossible to win against something like that.

Bomb Girl

An Explosive and Unstoppable Fighter

  • Allegiance: Soviet Union
  • First Appearance: Chapter 40
  • Species: Hybrid

Although Chainsaw Man is the main character in this story, he is not the strongest entity in the Bomb Girl arc. Unsurprisingly, the Bomb Girl herself is stronger than the titular character. The reason lies in the distinct types of weapons each devil represents. One is based on chainsaws, while the other is based on bombs. Sure, a chainsaw is scary, but bombs are absolutely terrifying.

A single touch is all it takes for the Bomb Girl to cause an explosion. She can blast a car with a single punch and blow up a building with her special moves. Furthermore, as the product of the Soviet Union’s child soldier experimentation, Reze is far more experienced in combat than Denji. This is why Reze the Bomb Girl is the strongest character in Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze arc.
