Whitebeard was a former Yonko and One Piece’s strongest man in the world. He was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, who were renowned pirates throughout the world, and Whitebeard sat on top of them all. As their captain, he was a very powerful individual who possessed the strongest Paramecia Devil Fruit, Gura Gura no Mi.
With this fruit, he could create earthquakes at will, and on top of this, he was a master at using Haki. He possessed all three types of Haki, including advanced Conqueror’s Haki, which could rival some of the strongest Haki users in One Piece. During his time at sea, Newgate fought against numerous strong opponents, and none were strong enough to defeat the monster that was once known as Whitebeard.
Roger was the rival of Whitebeard for a very long time. During their adventures, they fought against each other numerous times, so much so that they grew to respect each other’s powers. One glimpse of their fight was shown during the Wano Country arc, where Roger and Whitebeard clashed, and this battle even surprised Oden as he saw how powerful they truly were. That said, even though they were enemies on the seas, they held respect for one another.
Crocodile once served as an antagonist in the series, but now is a prominent character as a part of Buggy’s crew. During his early days, he was a rookie like all the other pirates, but he made a name for himself and challenged Whitebeard himself. The exact details of this fight are unknown but the outcome was that he was utterly defeated by Whitebeard.
Blackbeard’s journey of becoming a renowned pirate started when he ate the Yami Yami no Mi. He faced off against many foes and ultimately fought against Whitebeard, whose Devil Fruit he wanted. Their fight started in Marineford, and it didn’t last that long because Whitebeard made quick work of him by defeating him with only 2-3 hits, making him feel the true power of a Yonko.
Garp is a legendary figure who, alongside Sengoku, led the Marines through Roger’s era. He made a name for himself as the man who cornered Gol D. Roger multiple times during his time. But he also fought against Whitebeard, who talked about Garp numerous times. Just like Roger, Whitebeard would also be one of the pirates the Marines targeted, which means they have clashed many times but haven’t been shown in the series.
The Marineford arc introduced a lot of powerful characters to the fans, and among them was Marine Admiral Akainu. He is an emotionless, powerful individual who will do anything to uphold the justice of the Marines, even if it means killing innocent people.
He was a fearless individual who fought against Whitebeard and was able to deal significant damage to him. But, when Ace died, Whitebeard unleashed his wrath and beat Akainu to a pulp for killing his son. He made quick work of him by dealing such a powerful blow that it destroyed Marineford Island. Truly, his fury was something that Akainu couldn’t handle on his own.
Upon setting out on his journey, Ace became a super rookie who made a name for himself in a very short amount of time. During his time as a rookie, Ace wanted to defeat Whitebeard on his own, who was regarded as the strongest man in the world. After his fight against Jinbe, Whitebeard came to fight against the person who wanted to take his title.
Unsurprisingly, Ace lost the fight, and he lost again multiple times after that. His behavior towards him changed drastically when he saw who he really is. Ultimately, Ace joined the Whitebeard Pirates and became a very prominent figure in the pirate world.
Sengoku the Buddha was the former Fleet Admiral of the Marines. He was the one who led the Marines to victory against the Whitebeard Pirates during the Marineford War. Sengoku is a very powerful individual who was respected by Roger and Whitebeard, as they held him in high regard. During Roger’s era, Sengoku was an Admiral who was consistently on the frontlines, fighting against numerous enemies.
These enemies also included Whitebeard, who, alongside Roger, was a threat to the World Government. The confrontation between Whitebeard and Sengoku hasn’t been seen, but it is implied that they have fought against each other multiple times.
