When it comes to map locations in Hollow Knight: Silksong, the game can be quite random, as sometimes players will get the map situated right on the main path, which will cost them valuable Rosaries. However, there are other instances where players might hear Shakra singing, and following the melody can somewhat help and lead them to the map maker. The Slab is a location that players can reach before initiating Act 2, and here is how they can acquire the map for it in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
To reach the Slab, players can choose one of two ways. If you are in Act 2 of the game, you have to progress upwards toward the Citadel until you reach the Citadel Spa, which is left of Coral Chambers. From there, you can go further left and open the gate that leads to the Slab location. However, if you are in Act 1, do not be disheartened, as you do not need to proceed to Act 2.
What you need first is to acquire the Wall Jump ability, which can be acquired in Shellwood, and make your way to the top right of Deep Docks, where you will find a wall climbing section and a passage that leads to an enemy with a cage. After a few attacks, the enemy will fly up and slam its cage down on you, capturing you and teleporting you to the Slab.
You will lose your tools, gear, and weapon, so this section might be a bit difficult.
After you reach the Slab, make your way down and head left through the passage to reach a blocked gate. Break the wall above and head up to spot your captors with your needle and cloak. Head left outside and slide down to reach the passage on the right. In the room up ahead, you will come across several enemies, all of which you can ignore and head right, then drop down right next to another locked gate. You can talk to Grindle on the opposite side of the door, but he will be of no help, and you will have to grab the Key of Indolent from the left.
After you have acquired the key, get ready to make a run for it, as enemies will spawn in the very room. Open the door and head right through the passage to reach another room where an enemy is patrolling the platform. Head past him and through the passage on the right to find a bench and Grindle standing next to it. After interacting with the bench, before going out again to explore the rest of the Slab, you can head further right to find a hidden passage that leads to an item on the ground. Pick it up to get the map of the Slab.
