Sung Jinwoo is overpowered in Solo Leveling, rising above his assigned level with unique abilities.
His powers include infinite item storage, limitless physical strength, eternal youth, and ninja stealth.
Sung Jinwoo’s shadowmancy enables him to resurrect fallen foes and command an undead legion, making him nearly unstoppable.
Despite the mixed opinions some anime fans have about Solo Leveling and its protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, the hype is hard to deny. Sure, he might seem like the poster boy for aura-farming, but he’s got the power to justify it. Honestly, overpowered characters often get a bad rep just for being strong, and that’s not always fair.
Jinwoo’s ability to turn people into shadows is powerful. He has, however, missed out on some major opportunities in Solo Leveling.
Whatever the case, it’s time to give the guy some credit. He earned it after surviving the nightmare that was the double dungeon. That grinning, nightmare-fuel statue put him through hell, and it was only by braving those horrors that Sung Jinwoo got his second shot and finally started leveling up.

Solo Leveling His Way To The Top
It’s In The Title, So Duh
Sung Jinwoo is the only one in the entire Solo Leveling manhwa who can actually rise above his assigned level and rank. It’s got to do with his selection as ‘The Player’ by the Architect’s system. His ability to read the situation under immense pressure and figure out the ‘correct’ solution to the Double Dungeon’s perilous cryptic riddles earned him his do-over.
He’s so powerful now that everyone else in Solo Leveling is struggling to catch up to him. In the anime’s second season, he tries to suppress his overpoweredness and not show off, but circumstances and plot-convenience force his hand. Sung Jinwoo is essentially the Saitama of his universe now, and no adversary can seemingly challenge him.

Infinite Item Storage
Toon Force Hammerspace Is Always Ready At His Behest
Another reason why Sung Jinwoo can flex like a walking god is that he’s got unlimited inventory. He can access it from his shadow at any point in time, and it doesn’t matter if the item being stored is oversized, wide, or oddly shaped. He hauls literally everything around without a hassle. If he needs anything, he can reach into his shadow and pull it out without actually trying to search for it.
Solo Leveling features several powerful artifacts. These examples take the cake for being the strongest of the bunch.
This also eliminates the need to lug the load around or experience physical restrictions because of the additional weight. Any RPG enthusiast knows how much of a hassle it is to manage the limited space, but Sung Jinwoo is free from this worry. He can farm dungeons without making multiple trips to unburden his inventory.

Limitless Physical Strength And Speed
No Cap Against His Growth In Raw Might And Godlike Reflexes
Sung Jinwoo’s unique ability to achieve levels in Solo Levelingdoesn’t only stop at acquiring new skills. He outpaces everyone when it comes to physical strength and speed every time. Every fight fuels his destructive force in hand-to-hand combat, and his lightning-fast pace is so unfathomable that neither his allies nor his enemies can keep up with his movement.
In fact, he becomes so strong and godlike that neither the Ant King nor Baran is able to defeat him. For context, these two are immensely powerful monsters that no one else could hope to defeat. His fighting acumen and persistent growth in his terrifying strength put him well above anyone else in the food chain of Solo Leveling.

Eternal Youth And Immunity
He’s Got The Looks, And He Literally Can’t Get Sick
Some guys have all the luck, and Sung Jinwoo proves this with another one of his ridiculous traits. In the manhwa, after he vanquishes Ashborn and saps his power, he essentially stops physically aging. Simply put, he’s got access to the fountain of youth and will always be stuck at the peak of physical conditioning. Oh, but that’s just one facet of it, as he’s got another ace up his sleeve.
The second season of Solo Leveling had many exciting and emotional moments, but these were arguably the most exciting and memorable.
Aside from his edgy, aura farming, and handsome features, Sung Jinwoo also has an overpowered immune system. It’s so healthy that it’s impossible for him to be ill. His healing factor can put Wolverine’s to shame. It’s so intense that his body actively develops anti-toxins at an accelerated rate to counter anything harmful in his body.

Ruler’s Authority
The Guy Can Psychically Control Everything Around Him Like A Jedi
After defeating Igris, Sung Jinwoo gets his first real taste of power with Ruler’s Hand, an ability that later evolves into Ruler’s Authority. It lets him project his will through mana, basically giving him full control of the battlefield. In his case, this gives him complete control of the battlefield by manipulating the gravity around objects, people, and entire structures.
He becomes a sort of Force user (a term used very loosely here). He uses this power mainly for tactical maneuvering, dodging, or setting up attacks even when airborne. This ability is so absurdly powerful that only other monarchs with full mastery of it can counteract its effects.
3
Ninja Stealth
He Can Literally Erase His Presence And Turn Invisible
Sung Jinwoo’s status as a walking god among men is further solidified by another ability that, in all honesty, he does not need in the slightest. It’s stealth and camouflage, and it might just be the most overpowered vanishing skill in the series. It allows him to literally erase his own physical appearance and eliminate all traces of his existence at will.
In the upcoming third season of the Solo Leveling anime, these skills will be introduced and are set to make a major impact.
This ability makes it impossible for anyone to sense his presence, even if he’s standing right next to them. It opens up the path for him to systematically sabotage and create chaos among enemy ranks. Given how Sung Jinwoo is already such a juggernaut, giving him stealth just pushes him one step closer to becoming an actual god.

Has An Intimidating Aura That Brings Enemies To Their Knees
Wins A Fight Mentally Before The Actual Scrap Happens
With skills and traits like bloodlust and indomitable will, Sung Jinwoo just breaks his opponents without having to lift a finger. His mere gaze and aura are so frightening that enemies tend to cower in his presence, and the powerful ones remain cautious and put their guard up around him. It not only impacts just their state of mind, but also their stats, which lose their efficiency in combat.
Later in the Solo Leveling manhwa, Sung Jinwoo also obtains the Dragon’s Fear ability, which instills fear and makes his opponents lose the will to fight him. All of this is further proof that nobody is on his level in the story and that he’s a walking god.

Shadowmancy And Undead Underlings
Darkness Is His Domain, And He Can Resurrect Slain Foes
Who knew that after getting the Saitama treatment, Sung Jinwoo would try his hand at emulating Ainz Ooal Gown? It’s no new news that his shadow powers are what truly make him terrifying. And while it’s obvious at this point, this ability is what really cements him as a god-tier character. He can manipulate shadows freely, craft armor from them, and even use them as teleportation points.
But the real game-changer is shadow extraction. Being able to pull the shadows of fallen enemies and add them to his army is the main reason Jinwoo feels so untouchable. He commands an entire legion that can’t die, simply because it already has. If that doesn’t make him unstoppable, nothing will.
