The First Descendant is probably the 47th video game to collaborate with PlatinumGames/Square Enix’s iconic RPG, NieR: Automata. Starting on August 7 with the Breakthrough update for the free-to-play shooter, players can earn skins for 2B and A2, two of the leads from Automata. There’s also a back attachment and an emote featuring the trusty Pod that Automata players will be familiar with.
There are technically two ways to get the cosmetics featured in The First Descendant‘s collaboration event, and we’ll explain how to go about getting everything.

Free Items (Pod and Back Attachment)
So there are two free items that you can get by just playing The First Descendant during the NieR Automata crossover event (ends on September 3). However, it might be confusing as to where the event quests are found; if you’re looking at your main quest log, you won’t see the collab there.
To find the Event Tab in The First Descendant, you’ll need to enter the main game menu; not the map screen! If you’re on PC, just hit the Escape key, and then you will see a box in the bottom-right corner with two tabs: Challenge Objective and Event. If you go to Event, and look down the list, you will see the collab event.
Here are the rewards you can claim from the event, as well as the requirement for completion:

Paid Items (Pod and Back Attachment)
Unfortunately, if you want the really cool NieR: Automata skins in The First Descendant, you will have to pay real-world money for them from the in-game Shop. If you go into your Inventory, you can tab over to the Shop and then check out the Themed Skins section.
You will see four packs for NieR: 2B of Conviction Set, 2B of Conviction Set (Self-Destruct), A2 of Vengeance Set, and A2 of Vengeance Set (Damaged). Each pack goes for 1050, which means if you buy all four individually, you’ll pay 4200 Caliber, which is more than $70 USD. So, if you get the bundle (3940) Caliber, you will save a little bit.
Here are all the items that are included in the NieR: Automata Bundle:
YoRHa No. 2 Type B Uniform (Head Skin)
