At first, PEAK might seem like a chill climbing game, but there’s a lot more going on. As you play, you will come across all kinds of weird items. Figuring out what they do is part of the fun. Some can seriously help your whole team, while others, like the Big Lollipop, might leave you totally confused.
The Blowgun is one of the most fun items players will find in PEAK. If you use it right, you can throw off other players and mess up their climb. But what exactly does it do, and where can you find one? Let’s find out.
Not everything you find in PEAK is safe to eat. This guide breaks down which foods you can trust and which ones might ruin your climb.
What Does Blowgun in PEAK Do?
The Blowgun can be a pretty sneaky tool in the co-op climbing game. When you shoot it at another player, it hits them with a dart that gives them the Lethargy effect, kind of like what happens when you eat a Big Lollipop. It slows them down a lot, and if they are already low on stamina, it might even kill them.
The Blowgun is mostly a hilarious way to troll your friends in PEAK. There’s nothing more annoying than getting hit with that slow Lethargy effect right in the middle of a tough climb, which also makes it so fun to use. Be careful, though, because if your friend is low on health, the dart might actually knock them out. Using it on randoms can also lead to a laugh-fest.
One of the coolest things about the Blowgun is that it works on the Scoutmaster. If you’ve ever run into him, you know how scary he can be. There’s really no way to beat him once he appears. But with the Blowgun, PEAK players can slow him down by hitting him with lethargy. It won’t stop him forever, but it gives you just enough time to run for your life and get out of there before he catches you.
There’s also a badge in PEAK called the Mentorship Badge, and to get it, scouts will need to have a 1v1 with the Scoutmaster. The Blowgun can help here since it gives you a chance to escape. The Scoutmaster shows up for a couple of reasons. If you’re playing in a group and go off on your own for too long, he will pop up. If you are playing solo, you can actually summon him yourself by using the Scoutmaster’s Bugle.
Finding the Blowgun is not exactly easy, since it doesn’t have a set spawn point. You’ll most likely find it by chance. Keep opening any luggage bags you find during your run. If your whole team is alive, you can also try interacting with ancient statues.
