Description

In PEAK, some badges can be earned with minimal effort and a bit of luck, while others demand more patience. One such badge in PEAK’s Mesa update is the Needlepoint Badge. At first glance, the objective sounds simple: get stuck by cactuses.

However, like many badges in PEAK, there’s a twist. You’ll need to do more than just impale yourself on sharp plants to earn the achievement. This guide breaks down exactly what you need to do to get the Needlepoint Badge in PEAK.

How To Get the Needlepoint Badge in PEAK

How To Get the Needlepoint Badge in PEAK

The objective of the Needlepoint Badge is to “have a lot of cactuses stick to you”, but in reality, you also need to remove them from your body to complete the task. As such, to get the Needlepoint Badge, you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Approach a small cactus ball in the Mesa biome.
  2. Let it stick to your character.
  3. Keep going until you have five cactuses stuck to you.

Avoid taking too much damage from multiple cactuses at once. While they won’t kill you instantly, ignoring your health could result in a quick trip back to respawn.

Cacti PEAK

You’ll immediately get the Needlepoint Badge after five cactuses are stuck to you. Even if your run ends or your character dies, the achievement will still unlock as long as you’ve fulfilled the main objective. However, if you’re playing PEAK with friends, they can help pluck them out, making the process a lot easier.

You shouldn’t remove cactuses right after they stick. You need to let several attach before pulling them out. To earn the Badge, at least five must be stuck to you at the same time.

MESA Biome PEAK

The Needlepoint Badge can only be earned in the Mesa biome, a sandy, desert-like region introduced in the latest PEAK update. While exploring the Mesa biome, you’ll spot cacti of various sizes, but it’s the small cactus balls that matter.

The cactuses are small and blend with the sand, so keep your eyes peeled while exploring the Mesa biome. As soon as you walk close enough to one, it will automatically stick to your character. The thorns will remain embedded until you manually remove them, so there’s no need to worry about missing the interaction.

When you’re done with the Needlepoint Badge, try your hand at another badge in PEAK’s Mesa Update, the Aeronautics Badge.
