Persona5: The Phantom X has a lot of mechanics that involve in-game time, even though this game doesn’t have a set calendar system like the mainline series does. While a lot of these mechanics can be ignored to complete the main story of the game and all the Palaces, these mechanics can add to the overall experience and help you get stronger in various ways.
Synergy Bonds are a major part of the game, letting players get closer to the various people they meet, much like Social Links. Giving gifts is a great way to help rank up these Synergy Bonds, and gardening is a key way to get a lot of gifts to give; here’s how it all works.
Persona5: The Phantom X didn’t release with the entire game all at once; here’s how many palaces are currently in the game.
Where to Get Seeds for Gardening in Persona 5 X
There are two flower shops that sell seeds for you to plant in Persona 5 X:
Flower Shop in Shibuya Underground Mall
Flower Shop in Shinjuku Red-light District
While there are other, more straightforward ways to get gifts or cooking ingredients, seeds cost a lot less and only require a few days of in-game time to grow into a useful gift or cooking ingredient. You can also get seeds randomly when completing City Actions, such as cleaning the house.
Knowledge is one of the social stats that players can increase in Persona 5: The Phantom X, here are the activities that level it up.
How to Garden in Persona 5 Phantom X
Gardening can be done anytime in Wonder’s house on the first floor and out the back door. There will be two small pots and a long pot on both sides of the garden, letting you plant up to six different seeds at a time. All you need to do to garden is plant a seed and wait the specified amount of time for the plant to grow. When planting something, you can use Fertilizer to speed up the process and get the plants sooner.
Fertilizer is also purchased in Flower Shops.
Advancing time does require Action Points, and while gardening doesn’t use Action Points, it will require the use of a lot of Action Points on other things. You’ll need to use enough to progress the day and sleep to the next day, even possibly completing a few actions the next day, to reach the correct amount of time. Once grown, just interact with the pot again to get the resulting plant, with them staying there as long as needed, so no worries if you happen to forget about your plants for a long time.
Gardening also gives Kindness when collecting plants.
What Do You Do With Plants in P5X?
Plants can be used in the workbench to be crafted into gifts for your synergy bonds or used in the kitchen to make a consumable. The resulting use of a grown plant can be seen when buying the seeds and whenever you plant them, so you’ll know exactly what you’re setting yourself up for. Some recipes will require you to rank up other Synergy Bonds or get other materials in order to craft the final item.
